what is your favorite V12 engined GT Car currently Racing, which are:

Lister Storm
Ferrari 550 Marenello
Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT
Maserati MC12 GT1
Aston Martin DBR9

I almost went with the Aston Martin DBR9, but I think back and remember the Krohn-Barbour Lamborghinis. I still got love for the R-GT.

Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT is my choice.

Aston all the way! Currently the most beautiful GT racecar!

^ same car. The DBR9, IMO, has the most awesome sounding V12. Plus, it looks great in british racing green with the yellow lip 👍

Does Aston Martin has a V12:confused:. I heard they had V10's

actually you're right appie, the DBR9 DOES have a V10, not a V12. unless the engine's been upgraded, then i guess the dbr9 has no place here :(

Cool, then i have to choose for the Maserati MC12:drool:

Are you sure? I'm almost positive it's got a V12.

From the car's website itself:

Specifications
Engine:

All alloy, quad overhead camshaft, 48-valve Aston Martin Racing V12 engine.
Dry sump lubrication system, 2 x 31.2mm air restrictors.
ECU/Data system:
Pi Data system, Pectel engine ECU
Capacity: 6.0 litres
Power: approximately 600 bhp
Torque: > 700 Nm

Not sure if they use a V12 or not, but I like the following ones.

Maserati MC12 from FIA GT
Saleen S7R from FIA GT

S7's a big Ford V-8. 427, I believe.

It has to be the DBR9.

I also have a strange liking for the Lister Storm, but its not an option.

Have you read the Duke quote I have in my sig?

Ah. Forgot about that one. But does it match the criteria of "current" V12 GT? I think it raced in the '05 season but I don't know about this year.

It made an appearance this year in the FIA GT Championship... can't remember what round but I know for a fact it showed up.

m.piedgros

EDIT: The Round it entered was Paul Ricard, however the car was not running at the finish and therefore not classified in the race results.

it does. I've recorded the Paul Ricard race and just watched it yesterday so it does match the criteria.

@daan:
the list I posted earlier has been edited so its an option now.

Thanks for the clarification, m.piedgros and RACECAR.

Well I still like the S7R from FIA GT more than any other GT1 type car at the moment. If it HAS to be a V12, I guess it would the MC12.
