Na mate. Have you heard a 427 vette fire up? Or even a 305 Chev? Nothing beats those sounds.

my best friend's brother-in-law bough a '74 Corvette 427 last summer, with Summit racing exhaust manifolds and forged pistons or something...good lord, that thing is loud.
the few times i've actually heard a V10, i'd say it beat the pants off a V8. i live around a ton of rednecks, so i hear Camaros, Mustangs, and Vettes everyday. that could be part of it.

never actually heard a W14, though.

Exactly right guys... all these people are are flame-boy-professionals with no grip on personall preference OR respect. There is NO victor on any of the cars, it depends on how you drive them, but some ARE better than others, but then again ALL cars have positives and negatives to them. THERE IS NO PERFECT OR BETTER NATION-MAKING CARS!!!!!!!!

All the flameboys or anyone who thinks about responding this my here thread CAN GO EAT COW CRAP!!!!! NOW SHUT UP!!!

 x1000

there's a difference between arguing and flaming.

Dont forgot the German Manufactures. They buld some of the most refined, well built, elagant, speed luxuries in the world. A stock RUF RGT can reach speeds of 212MPH on the Autobahn, and that s with the driver, a camera guy in the passenger seat and two journalists crammed in the back...

A very very fine line. I have seen some friendly discussions suddenly elevate into a flaming thread...

BTW, listen to a Shelby Cobra 427 V8, wow makes your heart rush. I fell in love with that sound the first time I heard it. Same goes for the V10 of a Viper.

Is anyone watching the Barret-Jackson automobile auction on Speed Channel? Saw some excellent cars even a GT-40 Mrk I.

1st off the sound of a V8 beats the sound of any other engine. Like the classic 454 with headers and a good exhaust system, how can any other engine beat that sound.

my favourite manufacturer is probably Honda, as they make the NSX and S2000, two of the best looking cars ever imo...TVR and Aston Martin are a close second and Third.

I hate muscle cars, everyone talks about the nice sound of a V8.

Bah V-12 or how bout the sound of a Supra, oh god. Or the waste gate, or the loud deep rumble from the 3 inch exaust, or the sweet whistle from the turbo.

Dont get that from a regular V8... shush.

American cars are poop :(

how can anyone hate muscle cars??? :/ all the old mustangs etc rock, they look so awesome, U.S. cars rule, not as good as brit ones though :P

yeah they drain out the noise of turbo's  rumble of a Chevy big block or a Hemi V8, YUM :)

Back in the older days 1920s-60s, American ruled at making cars. No one came close. There might have been the Gullwing from MB, the DB5 from Aston or the E type from Jag, but that wasnt enough to over come Americas cars. Vettes, Mustangs, Chargers, Challengers etc etc. And I dont think you can make judgement on muscle cars until youve actually been in one or driven one

No way a V12 sounds better than a V8.......BTW did anyone know that Cadillac is coming out with a V16

you sure it isn't a W16?

I love all the Manufacturers, But european tops it with the Elise, XKR, Vanquish, Gillet. I also love EVOS but that is only one Japanese cars folks.

Evos rock my world man, they are awesome! I say Honda cars suck... they are cheap and stink for body styling, throw em in the TRASH!!!!!!!

for what you pay for, Hondas are great.
they have serious torque problems, yes, but they weren't built to go fast.
of those built for such use, the S2000 relies more heavily on its amazingly low center of gravity and high-tech suspension that its power, and the NSX just isn;t slow to begin with.

EVOS are dope

If the Civic had a liter more or so in the engine it would be more competitive in the SPEED World Challenge. The older Civic hatchback the Roger Foo drove could keep up with the other cars though since it was so light...

I think that tvr's cars are cool but bor power and price I have to go with Cheveys and dodge:D

But I hate those stupid dahastus, there ugly and slow:banghead:
