Just wanted to know which different phone brands are preferred by users here and reasons for their choices!!

Nokia, SE and Samsung are the only ones I use, I've never had a problem with them.

I voted Sony Ericsson, my current phone! I haven't really had much experience with other brands though

My votes were with Nokia, SE and Samsung - they seem to be my main phones that i have ever used and i also seem to use them in a rotating fashion lol. Right now its my SE season! previously Samsung and before that Nokia and all the phones have been fine for me except for the once when my Samsung D500 screen inverted itself before turning white!

I've used them all, Sony and Nokia are the two best, between the two I generally prefer Sony's but most Nokia's arn't bad. One make that isn't that bad either is Sagem, they work well and I've never had problems with them, they're just a little behind the other brands in what they offer.

I always loved Nokias. Their operating system and controls were always excellent. But I think that they lost the plot about 3 years ago, and I haven't liked any of their stuff recently. Some of them (like my wife's 6230) are just plain bad. However, their 6310i still ranks as probably the best mobile telephone ever, in my book.

I experimented with a Siemens SL65, which was a gorgeous little thing. I liked it a lot, but sadly its VGA camera and second-rate OS just weren't good enough for me.

I'm now using a SonyEricsson K750i, which is excellent.

SE for me. I've got a K700i at the moment and it's probably the best phone I've ever had. I'd had a few of different brands over the years (Nokia, Siemens and SE), but SEs stick out as the best in my experience. I find the layout to be intuitive, but one slight worry is that the joystick on my old SE had to be repaired twice and my current K700i is starting to occasionally 'miss' actions performed with the joystick.

I'm using an SE W800i and its such a brilliant phone, best i have had to date! my brother has a K750i and its basically the same thing in a less discrete colour which is equally as good.

I have also used some Nokias and Samsungs in the past; didn't have any problem with them and i don't mind going for them in future if they announce anything with worthwhile specifications. I am liking the Nokia N80 however :D

Samsung don't seem to be making good phones like they use to, after the D500 which was a amazing phone when it was released - they wanted to live in its success and have failed to be honest, the D600 wasn't much of a hit and the i series is quite appaling!

Nokia.And I'd never buy a Sony Ericsson phone again,K750i is POS.I had one,and joystick broke,fixed it,broke again,bought an W 800,same thing. No SE phones for me ever.Except maybe the P series(P 990)

Now I have a Nokia 6630,and that phone owns. It has mp3 player, okay camera,Symbian OS 8.0.(Which owns Winblows Mobile),you can find some games that have really good graphics, can run N-gage games.....and is extremly fast compared to,say,Nokia 3650,which i had prior the SE K750i and
this 6630.
Also If I was any of you,I'd avoid getting any Motorola,Samsung and Siemens

Worst phones ever when it comes to quality. Especially Samsung D series(D500,D600),because their flat cable (a cable that connects one part of the phone with another) will break in just few monts of usage. And I say it will, unless you're really really lucky.

And with Motorola's....don't get me started.... worst phones ever. They look good though.

SE and Nokia. I'm currently a K300 user, and I'm quite satisfied with it, surprising capabilities for such a price (cough, Poland, cough).

Why Nokia? I had a 6310 (not 6310i, sadly...) with a Lithium-Polymer battery, and damn that thing looked great, was panzer (it lived through my dad...), and the battery seemed to last forever. It also had absolutely great functions, considering when it was released, it was reliable, and never failed me.

I voted Sony Erikson.

I have a T630 and have used a mates W700 and have had no probs with either.

Also their standard control buttons are good and still good looking. Unlike samsungs which seems to have loaaadddsss of buttons.

Sony Ericsson all the way, they always have the latest mobile technology and have the back up of all those famous brands, cyber shot, walkman etc... I wouldnt be suprised if we see a sony ericsson handycam! I own a T610 and a K750i... brillant phones.... only problem I have with them is the quality of aerial (dont get as much signal as brands such as nokia).....

Your mate has a W700, what a lucky mate he is, that was announced some few days back by Sony Ericsson as coming out soon.

 I'm no dount wrong then.

It's a W, I forget which, but I did a google search and thought 'yeah that looks about right'. Apoligies.

I had a Samsung, a Sony Ericsson and now I own a Nokia 7250i. It's a very good phone considering the price I paid for it but the camera is a POS so I might buy a W800i next month.

I can recommend the W800i, I currently have one and its my first Sony Ericsson and I love it. Before that I had a Nokia 3310, 6510 and a Sharp GX10i. I used to think Nokia were the best, but since getting the W800i I think I have switched.

I've had 4 nokias, and one SE, but i like both :)

I don't really like any other brands, but i really don't like the menus of motorolas. I like the look of the razrs, though.

Yeah, a 2mp camera in my pocket everywhere I go should be pretty handy and a mp3 player with 30 hours of playback without recharging is even better. 👍

Well you may be right, your mate could be like Live4Speed who gets to use the latest mobiles :grumpy:, before they have officially been released.

Then again it could also be the W800i, which looks exactly like the W700.

I got a Motorola phone from Nextel, it's an i850 and I've never had a problem with it. In fact I pretty much love the phone.

Nokia. They seem to be really bulletproof and the button action seems to last forever. They aren't the sexiest design-wise, but the GUIs are designed very clearly and they're very easy to use. I don't use a mobile for anything other than plain-jane phone calls and SMSs, so a Nokia does that stuff very easily and dependably. I actually hate having lots of features, its just too much to wade through in the menus when you want it to be quick and clear!

LG has really BAD build quality (buttons sticking/not working), and awful GUIs (really dated!), my old one was truly awful! :yuck:

My last three phone's been Ericsson - Sony Ericsson, so I gotta go with them. My current T610, I can't even remember how long I've had it for. Three phones combined, easily 5,6 years. I don't like flip phones, so that might be why I like them so much.
