Feedback Voting Not Working

I’m on Safari on OS X and the new voting Feedback forum doesn’t work for me. When i click on “Vote” nothing happens. My daily vote count doesn’t drop, the vote count on the item doesn’t go up. On any of them.

It should work with Safari on OSX. Do you have Javascript enabled? Are you trying to submit multiple votes with multiple different email addresses (this sort of thing could cause you to be blocked)?

Javascript is on. But what’s this business of e-mail? Do I have to sign in somewhere? I tried the sign-in page, but I had no idea what it was asking for. Do I need a whole extra account? I’m not incompetent, this shouldn’t be this obscure.

You just enter an email address and username to vote. It isn't tied in with your GTP forum account.

I figured out what it was: an extension I had, Ghostery, was preventing the voting from working. It blocks certain cookies (mainly tracking cookies). Guess this software is in the blacklist (didn’t expect that at all). All done with voting now. Thanks.

Jordan, when will the feedback forum be locked for new entries?

There is still a lot of duplication of requests and I doubt we are getting any new ideas anymore.

Maybe is better you lock it and compact the requests and let only the votting continue.

I don't have any plans on closing it to new entries at the moment, but that may be something I consider in the future.
