Do your eyes get blurry after looking at TV/computer monitors for too long? That's what happens to me. I started wearing glasses because I got sick of it. Plus my right eye has worse vision than my left so that's a problem as well

My eyes get tired and my vision gets blurry. Focusing on fast movement is difficult and requires focus.

Q start soon join guys.

Good practise race guys.

Ever since GT5 was relesed i drove Manual trans because i found auto hard and L2 and R2 are usually the standard controls for shifting and there triggers so they are like mini paddles. Like was said above i also drive everything with 10/10 brake bias because I believe it makes the braking force stronger.

Regardless, you need a wheel to really experience this game as it was intended. I had no idea what I was missing out on not having a wheel.

Every single first lap I have somebody rear end me and spin me out. It is bugging me, because if I try and be careful around someone in front of me, somebody just divebombs or brakes late and ruins my race!

I know full well what im missing im quite bored most times with GT5 .
A snowy Wisconsin road is more fun if you know what I mean

Keep a bit of gas and brake together so if you get hit the car stays stable.

Old trick I learned racing morons in online spec races... find a dirty room and try it out. Not sure why it works but it does. Dirty rooms are also a good place to practice accident recovery.

Never thought I could use those rooms to actually help improve my skills :p.

But if my game could actually work in online lobbies I'd do it...

Yeah I hate dirty rooms, but after almost two years of nightly spec racing in clean general rooms you get used to being hit by the occasional dirty guy and people getting in over their head. Only reason I recommended them is it'd be like an accelerated crash course for those situations instead of it taking a long time.

There hasn't been a start this season where I've been spun. Probably hit in all of them though. Watch the replay from Monza, toolo hit me at full tilt and took out the front half of the grid. I drove away mostly unscathed even though I'm the one he initially made contact with, watch my brake and gas inputs. That's the technique to save it, just make sure you're on both before you get hit.

Edit: Oh yeah, and always assume you're going to get hit.

Try this my friend: http://stereopsis.com/flux/

It only works with your computer but it helps. In short it changes the color temperature of your monitor to coincide with the sun so you don't screw up your circadian rhythm. My eyes used to go blurry and become sensitive around 4 or 5pm when the sun started going down while I was working on my computer and this fixed it.

Under settings make sure you change transition setting to "slow".

Thats funny cause i was just thinking the same thing the other day. I was watching netflix on ps3 after racing on gt5 and i had trouble reading the screen. it was horrible. Gian i am going to check that link you posted.

I agree redhot. I been driving manual since gt1. even had the first wheel they produced but wasnt good. With gt4 didnt get a wheel cause no online play. but now with gt5 it's a whole different ball game. steering input, gas input, brake input especially with no abs aid. wheel conquers the controller. i see my lap times compared to everybody else using a wheel and im usually five to six seconds slower. the wheel speeks for itself.
So if you want to play gt5 and be competive then you must own a good wheel. Period!

Thats true m8.
For saeson 3 you get Playseat Evolution with G27 or??

It only works for your computer, not ps3, but if you're like me and have your computer hooked up to your tv, or if you're on your computer a lot, it makes a world of difference.

Or i get a g27 and built my own cockpit. and that idea sounds really good to me. i like challanges.

The playseat is fantastic m8.
Its the best choise.

It's also 400 bucks not to mention then you have to explain to women why you have a racing seat in your living room. Maybe that's just a new york problem because some people have houses with dedicated gaming rooms.

We pay $3,000 a month for 800 square feet, not really feasible. For the same amount of money in the midwest you could probably get an 8000 square foot house and have multiple gaming rooms.

Women??
M8 nobody need this, you need the best Racing Simulator in home.
And a good Tony Kart not more.

This produced audible laughter, you crack me up immortal. Although, I will admit, if someone offered me a driver's position in a real F1 team I'd agree to celibacy in a heartbeat.

I want to drive in the real f1.
Iam fast enough but i must make enough money then its possible.

18 and you?

13.

You have a real chance of making it into F1, get yourself into a feeder series in England and look for a seat with Merc or Ferrari. Ferrari only allows drivers who are 24-26 years old, so get working! Hopefully we'll see an Immortal in F1 soon.

I agree. You must own a good wheel and simulator. Everything else in life can be rented.

If my father had 20000000 € I would already be in Formula 1
Its very difficult when you have money its all easy.

Get in a feeder series and move to England for racing! You're good at karting, right? Get some sponsors and buy your way into F1!

That's not mean it's an understatement. I'm too tall, too old, and lack the talent. And those are just the basic disqualifications.
