Are you the new Ferrari F14T?

I really hope that's it, easily the best looking nose of the 2014 grid. I feel Fleetwood mac coming on.

I am sceptical, because the anteater noses came about as a result of teams wanting to minimise the surface area of the nose so as to allow as much air as possible to get under it. This would allow them to reap the benefits of a high monocoque, but this purported design looks like it will only block air from getting under the car.

Not necessarily, if the wing and outer veins like some seen on the front brake ducts a manipulation can be made to shift flow.

Maybe, but it's nowhere near as efficient as getting air up under the monocoque and over the front splitter head-on.

Besides, I believe that publication also ran mock-ups of the F60, F2012 and F138, none of which were close to the finished product. And their illustration of the F2012 was very optimistic when it came to the stepped nose.

The F138 was based on this.

13 was for the year 2013
8 was for the number of cylinders.

Basically it meant that 2013 was the final year of the V8s so they honored that with the F138.

Well the NBC guys pronounced it wrong the whole season saying "F1-3-8", instead of "F-13-8". So part of my confusion with the name was not knowing the correct pronunciation

Hey, I live on the other side of the world, and I am still feeling a bit loopy from the local anaesthetic the doctor gave me when I had a mole removed this afternoon. All things considered, it's a wonder I even know what day it is.

It's not as bad looking as the Mclaren or the Lotus, but it still looks pretty woeful. It looks as if somebody just stamped a giant boot down on the nose.

I think it's the better one so far, I dont really like it but I'm sure I could get used to it.

Looks like some fatass has sat on the nose. Makes you wonder which nose will be the most popular come the end of the season, seeing that we have 3 or 4 totally different interpretations so far.

Also, there is far too much black at the back and lower half for me, needs more Rosso.

To be fair, it doesn't look at all bad from some angles (ie the rear). Otherwise, it looks like the nose section melted because someone left it under a heated lamp.

Variation I'm more than okay with. The same can't be said about execution though.

And the livery can do without the black.

The nose remembers an elephant's trunk. I'm not betting on the design of this Ferrari. We still have to wait for RBR to show their car, but it looks like they'll succeed this year as well.

Is the technical video not playing for anyone else?

Got it working but it was rubbish anyway. Didn't show the engine at all.

And this is something you can tell without even seeing the car, much less watching it on a track?
