So let me get something straight. Mustard didn't pit at all during the Indy race? How did you do that on softs? What were your later lap times? I am not sure what lap times Endless was getting when he caught up and passed me, but mine were still in the 1:10's at the time. I passed him while he was in the pits, but obviously his tires were better for the remaining laps.

For the record the FP says "Race distance will be set to force 1 fuel stop for each car."

Can we stop inviting these flaky types to these races? What's up with these people who set lap times 2-4 s better than the 2nd best and then bolt half way through?

I'm not sure if 'D' was disconnected or not. I saw him crash out in my mirrors then he got out of the room pretty quickly. We should be able to tell from the Video.

I was struggling to get into the 1:11's! I don't know how much the car was to blame but I think it's mostly down to me being a crappy driver

D-Unexpected is very eccentric but he's nice player....he doesnt take people out and shoot his mouth off constantly. Although its annoying when people bolt, I dont know if he did bolt or was just disconnected. I'm a pretty decent judge of character. I know you all are jelous of how fast his lap times are. :sly:

Anyways The next race will be a tad bit longer. :sly: It will take 50 minutes to finish, which requires 102 or 103 liters of fuel based on Ferrari F1 economy.

At Indy the pole was 1:07.5. My fastest was 1:08.6. The faster you go the harder it is on tires. D is very hard on tires therefore needed 2 stops to maintain his ungodly pace. I figure I gained a very slight amount of time by not pitting. Very tiny gain, and a slightly stressful finish.

Does the Indy map you have on the FP show a CCW direction? On GT5 we go CW from what I can tell.

Obviously D's driving ability is top shelf. If he'd follow the rules of the room (he ran AT), stayed on the track (no runoff ever), and stopped whining about using a controller I'd have been more receptive to him receiving points. He took care of that conundrum for me by quitting.

More importantly, i wanna know why the pit lane girl has cellulite ???

I quite like the previous pics you had on the previous tracks, but the Indy one was uncalled for.

OK, I updated the first post with some decent pics. The next race at Madrid will be 46 laps....and I'm not budging on the distance....

Hoping some DLC will come out with a new F1 car or track.....:(

Is Madrid going to be run reverse?

I hope not.

Ohh, and no more switching cars (I'm looking at you Artmannn). That was an unwritten rule. Leave it to the rule writer to miss the written ones. It's then our duty to not touch the unwritten ones.

And picking on that poor objectified eye candy. It was kind of an awkward pose exposing unfortunate debonerfication for Artmannn there. In the photo I like the look of the dude in the background right with the biting his tounge sticking out look.

Counter clockwise (forwards). I hate that thing in reverse. Its totally F-d up, especially with the pit lane wall jutting onto the track.

Reverse madrid is one of my favoriate tracks in gt5, but oh well.

It doesnt "feel" right. It feels like your going the wrong way. :sly:

I can do ok at it, its just that it feels "off" going backwards. I dont think they designed the circuit with clockwise considered in the drawing book.

tell me we can use softs on F2007 cuz the F2010 has good advantage here ..

i just realized this earlier i might or might not make the race sunday as early saturday ill be starting the A-spec 24hr of Le Mans me and 2 friends will be doing stints so depending on how far we get i might not make it , ill also have my ps3 disconnected from the net so ill be offline durng the race to take some stress of the console .
out of all the races this season im least exited about Madrid . so thats all i got ;]

To be honest, i felt i didnt have enough time to setup my F2007 on mediums and i had been playing around with the F10 a lot recently and i felt comfortable in that. I had never used it at the Indy Course so it was a new experience and i had an incident on first lap (same corner that had a 6 car race a few years ago) I also asked if i could the F10 before the race and there were no complaints :D

No more cellulite on FP, just cleavage, i like

Oh and Wilso, be careful of those endurance races, i cooked my PS3 doing them, you might save your network card by going offline but your processor, memory and graphics card are going to be working 24/7:scared: Network card can be bought and replaced but not the others :ouch:

I've done endurance racing before in GT5, I did the 4 hours of Nurburgring against real people online, by myself in a G27 concept. Absolute hell. :scared:No breaks....

Now if I was in a motion simulator with multiple screens, then it might be do-able. But sitting in front of a TV using a standard wheel its just too long to be fun. In real life I suspect its alot of fun though with the bumps, G forces & of course the elevation change on the Nurburgring...And of course its the most dangerous racing circuit in the world.....somebody dies somewhere on that track every week. Usually some rich F- in his Porsche GT2. :sly:

I know that, playing a videogame is like sitting on your bicycle indoors doing roller rides. Very boring and hard to do for longer than 60-90 minutes. Riding outside in a pack of racers is do-able for hundreds of miles at a time.

Debating about what to do over the last race.... :sly:

Nice to see the series is still running. If you run a second season, let me know. I have my own very fun race series keeping me busy for the next 5 sundays but after that I would be happy to rejoin in my brand new F2007

I'd vote for a classic Gran Turismo track over Nurburgring or other "fantasy track". That would be a vote for Grand Valley, Deep Forest, Trial Mnt, etc.

I like Deep Forest.....But you know I was really looking at supposed DLC coming soon. :nervous: You know I always wanted to do a drafting race at SS7 with skilled, clean, league racers. Not as part of the championship you know, but as a fun race.

Anyways I may have to skip a race, either race 8 or race 9/10 due to a funeral for my distant "relative". Also some bike races coming up, I cant drag my wheel and PS3 around the country. :sly:

Yeah, but you should send a friend request to mustardaddict. :) Otherwise you may have trouble finding the room.

I may have to postpone this race to later on tonight or next week! I think I may be going some where. Damn.....and I have other stuff coming up. :ouch:

I probably could run it at 2 AM GMT (9 PM CDT.) There's always so many people logged on at that time anyway, I mean common.

So If I cant make it (I'll post) then Artmann get some sleep and log back on around 2:00.

UPDATE> I'll do the race at the normal time. Disregard the above. I'm just going to wait for the F1 race to finish on FOX, its tape delayed a bit so they can play their morning "snakes in suits" first, :sly:

Cheers

I was wondering if you would hold off. Shouldn't be too much of a delay if any.

Rich: Can you update FP points as they show on the excel sheet before the race today?

Just take the win and points and move on.

As usual, I'll add any new guys to the excel sheet after they complete a race.

RACE CANCELED!!!! I have to go somewhere....... Discuss later tonight.
