Ok, thats the last race, hardly anybody showed (4 people). So I will tack on the points and thats the championship. Thanks to all who took interest.
Artmann you won.![]()
That was kind of anti-climactic.
I might start a Formula GT championship in the near future. I need something to fill the void. Sadly this was the most exciting thing I had going on (aside from keeping children from accidentally killing themselves). Kind of a bummer we couldn't get a consistent crowd. I does seem as though it's hard to keep one of these going during a busy summer. I know my July is jammed packed.
It seems like I was always the bridesmaid and never the bride in this thing. FOUR SECOND PLACE FINISHES OUT OF SIX, AHHHH. Yes I am complaining. F*&% consistency! I want a win. Two of those second place finishes were behind non-regulars.
I feel like the Buffalo Bills. For our European gamers, the Buffalo Bills lost 4 consecutive Super Bowls.
It depends on the total number of participants. If there are only 8-10 people then knock out qualifying makes no sense, but if there are at least 14, then it does. I have done races with knock out qualifying in rfactor, and it really wasn't hard to implement, as long as everyone cooperatives.https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=205540
This guys series of races uses knock out qualifying sessions. Who thinks adding that would have had a positive or a negative effect on our league? I remember a lot of complaints after qualifying about a worse than expected starting spot. Maybe if qualifying and the race weren't 40s apart you could know what to expect and collect yourself. Not that it matters after turn 1 madness anyway. The whole thing sounds difficult to implement, but interesting. You'd have to have at least the host on bluetooth.
Hmm, too late for me haha. When does next season start? The season is over.

So it looks like Downloadable content is coming to GT5.......As soon as the crew moves to Fukuoka that is.....common hurry the heck up, LOL. If so then that may "revive" this dusty old series with another run.
F1 2011 will be a game I'll have to play a bit before deciding whether its reasonable to have a series on. It should be out by fall.
GT5 has my favorite "engine" when it comes to physics on a TV gaming counsel...
When do you guys race, and when is the next season start?
I have finished editing the Suzuka weather race from June. It is 1hr 14m long in its entirety. I'm contemplating cutting it up into five 15 min (Youtube limit) sections and putting the whole race up. Maybe throw some comments in on who is shown in each section. Or do I make 1-2 highlight videos. It may be easier to cut it into five pieces. Not sure yet, input will be taken under consideration. I'm trying to get it out for Japanese GP weekend, but a business trip is hampering that.
Gawd that race was horribly difficult.
reventon's DNF being the main highlight and only good part.
I dont really know what to do, keep playing GT5 or move on to F1 2011 at some point.
Since this is the main racing game for PS3 I'll probably stick to GT5 and maybe try the next GT Academy if they have another one. With a drivable Academy car I can see myself making the final 16. With a difficult car like the SLS AMG I can hardly crack top 50-100.
We;ll see what Spec 2.0 brings. If its good stuff then I can stave off the F1 incarnation with its poor visibility & mediocre online scene.
Hey guys. Even though this event looks like its long gone id like to post about my interest in joining, if you have another season of course.
Cheers.
DrummingKing begged for it (back in the day) to be put on Youtube.
I got the full Suzuka Race up. I apparently don't have a time limit for my uploads anymore. I threw the full Monza race up there too for good measure.
