I guess that that was aimed at me, no I would not 'pick-up' women in a Ferrari but it is more impressive than a Lexus or Nissan, as a drivers car though, the other two may be better. My style of living will make me buy all three.

Oh my god please don't start talking like I've just insulted the human race. I do believe there are people that would buy it because it gives them a good feeling. But come ON, have you ever been at the Dutch coast? Or whatever coast (French, Spanish)? People driving their R8/California/Gallardo there....it actually makes me laugh, they really think they're COOL because they drive the car, and that what bothers me. My fathers friend has a Ferrari, an old one though. He does NOT brag about it at all.....it's standing there in his garage, and he loves the car. He's not driving it to look all cool and stuff, I can respect that.

Some people buy Ferrari just because they like how it sound and drives, and also happen to have a lot of disposable income, no everyone owning a ferrari waves his dick around.

Yes I do, honestly, but if you look a little bit closer, you can see it's not really on the same scale. Plus, I make sure I buy quality, and quality clothing costs money. That's the reason this discussion started in the first place is it not?

Part of being cool, is not feeling cool, cause then you end up looking like a disgrace. Especially if a man is in a California with the hood down.

If someone who doesn't know your father's friend saw him driving the ferrari in busy downtown area one might have the same impression too.

I have the same impression on people driving their mod JDM with low profile tires thinking they are hardcore, knows everything about tuning and are cornering masters.

Seriously tho, you charge 1,500,000 credits and you get back what? A car i could lap with my rx-7.

The guy who commissioned it wanted a one-off Ferrari, can you imagine how expensive that is? With that in mind, why on earth would he want to drive it? The stock engine/drivetrain would be plenty powerful enough for it's life in an air conditioned garage.

What about people Who buy a car because they like driving? You don't need a reason to do anything in life. if you had the money I'm sure you would happily go buy a GTR or NSX (I have no problem with either but they are different kinds of cars to the stuff that comes out of Italy) while I would happily walk to the nearest Prestige motormdealership (300km away FYI) and pick up a Murcielago SV. We would both be more then happy with our purchases and it's not because one is overcompensating it is that they both have different tastes. I for example wear shorts and a T-shirt everywhere because I don't like suits. And please dont ever use that "inside my girlfriend" point on this forum again. Kids use this site man!
