A game update was released to lower the effects when in FGT/X1... are you fully up to date? If yes, then just lower the force feedback setting to your preferences (as susggested)

Huge deadzone? Not that I really noticed, I wouldn't know how to quantify it, but I wouldn't say it was huge.
