It made a good watch neth. You were pushing me hard, i kept steady to look after tyres with an eye on the gap. Still wasnt expecting 2 seconds by the end, you must have been able to see me crossing the line :)
I saw 2 issues in the early stages but put them down to the sheer volume of traffic in the first 2 corners so im happy it was a clean race, how about you?
Also i dont thin rice or montalvo are racing any more so im gonna make some room for a few more who have asked to be part of proceedings. Have you heard anything from these two drivers?

I want to race but my work schedule is preceding me as I need to work at 2pm and the race starts at 1:30 for me.
 
TNext race will be ugly as this car is undrivealbe on used tyres,8i goin bak to default settings i think.so many turns,long turns too.5 or 6 pit stops this time so im not goin round tankslappin,i feel bad if i hold anybody up when its tankslappin but nothing i can do.till sunday.....
 
I am going to have a short practice tonight to see what i can do, the number of laps have been increased, im sorry but i didnt realise how fast you can get an FGT around this course! I did 10 laps last night and this one looks like a tyre shredder, prob a 2 or 3 stopper. We shall see tonight! Looking forward to a good race on sunday :)
 
I am creating some graphics to replace the first post and i need to know from the English Drivers, do you want to be represented by the Union Jack or the St Georges cross.

Poor whereveriroam spun into the pits on lap 2,thats what my replay says,fun watchin replays but you cant see if anything is enabled,like aids.I thought you could see which cars running what or is that only in the room itself?i dunno..
 
Ill have to look at that, i must have been looking at another driver when that happened. In regards to the driver aids, I would imagine that its sensible to have SRF enabled because if you dont you will be at a huge disadvantage as the slightest tap will send tou spinning. TCS off or 1 or else you will be too slow to get anywhere. The rest is down to personal preference of the driver. Have you had a go at deep forest yet? I have and im definatley gonna have an off somewhere, its a crazy fast course in the FGT, should be fun :)

personally, when racing in the fgt , i have the following aids set:

TCS = 5
SRF = on
ABS = 3
 
Really! I would never have guessed you used so much TCS, ill try it now haha. UNLESS ITS A RED HERRING.
 
i find the TCS helps me get a better feel quicker..
i can feel the acceleration progressively kick in on corner exits as my steering returns to straight. it helps me get the right lines by making the corners as wide as possible to help keep my engine/tires putting power to the ground, since turning too sharp with TCS will kill your power
 
These things will be tested! I didnt like TCS much but ill see what happens to the laptimes, also got some camber and toe settings to try :)
Although its crazy fast, Deep Forest is a little more forgiving that Laguna Seca

I personally am not a fan of Deep Forest, too 'arcadey' of a track IMHO
 
Oh well, when you win this season you can select it for the chop! One of the champions 'prizes'.
 
He not champ yet!!.This course very hard.im going to get some sleep sunday so im fresh.Concentration lapses becoming annoyin.My cars O.K..A finger has gone numb from testing.My brain is starting to work like i want it to,very important that.Some set up changes i do result in better steering but loss of braking so its a toss up but still time.When pig goes to bed and dreams of bein champ he would brings in an "indy 500".Also in the replays it looks like im only 1 with TC,maybe others car info isnt in great detail,alot of info going fast when racing these online,im too far away.Me throttle is staying on a third when lifting sometimes,so ive ordered new pots in the pedals so they all will be new,ill do a band-aid job on it 4 this week.See piggy ride into the sunset,on your color TV screen,out for all he can get,if u kno wot i mean...Wonder if driving to music would be distractin....ill see.
 
I hate practice,no problems in practice for [piggy.Cry's like a baby race day.Its the other cars.Ive noticed if somebody comes in my room when im practicin i crash immediatly so go away...noooo dont,i need practice around others.Testing just then laps 15-23 were all 55.0-8,i only pitted because i spun on the last corner and smacked the pit wall head on.Ive also noticed in other series the concrete around turn 4 is an issue,_in quali i dont think its penalised,are you guys going to allow use of it.Front 4-5 notches lower than the front has done the trick for me i think,and me diff 60/5/5 has never given me a problem,got that off a french site.
Oh,Weve got a good chance of manufactures?? glory narc,you kicked arse monday morning.

Hehe PB you are getting better by the sounds of it? In regards to the concrete at turn 4, its up to the driver to use it. You will only be penalised by the game if you cut too much but if the game allows it this is ok. Wow that is a strange diff setting, ill try it but it sounds like its almost not used at those settings m8.

Hey pigboy. I think I crashed more than you did when I joined your room, lol. I will message you if it is ok to join next time. But it is good to practice w others. My dfgt wheel is working out well. It reminds me of when I raced karts the stiff feel and all. Peace out!
 
Sunday is looking like it could be a good race! Im starting to like DFR a lot now. Once you get used to it its lightning fast!
 
The online dealership has re stocked, if your racing next season its a good idea to pick up another colour to give me and yourselves options with the teams.
I have 6 lol. Love the FGT
 
I just wanted to follow up that I should be able to make the race on Sunday. I have an all white or all blue fgt, which one should I use?
Oh and on a side note, why use srf? Doesn't it make this car too easy to drive? Just curious
 
Hi ronin, im putting you on the reserves list for today, ill move you to a team tomorrow when i get the replies to the friday reminder i send out to confirm the grid. Whats your nationality?
We are well established now with the current rules and find that with everyone using it there are still lots of people spinning out so the compitition is in beating the other cars rather than keeping the car on the track. The settings will be voted on by all drivers at the end of the season. So far having SRF enabled has not detracted from peoples enjoyment of the races. Cheers.
PS. You may end up in a team where the colour of your car doesnt comply with the team. Next season I will be more strict with the colours. If everyone races sunday i have a spot at Mercedes (silver) and McLaren (orange). If you have millions in the bank check the OCD.
 
Well I tried a bit with the SRF function but my results are the same (with or without)
=> I´m not using any Aids (except ABS) again.

I feel that SRF gives you more "Grip" but I for myself can´t use it ;)
53s to 54s are my consistant laps (me think a few are under 51s ??).

But I have to say I might miss the deadline. I´ll try my best but I can´t guarantee to enter in time.

A friend of me says the SRF bends quantum physics xD
 
Hey Sakery, yes SRF is magic and cant exist in real life, 53 54 constant laps will put you in the top 4 if you can have a clean race with 0 spins. Only one person has done a 51 and only a few times so hopefully it will be a close race. What time can you get there? It would be a shame to miss qualifying and start from the back.
