Alright, so... with this cars 87hp, I've been able to nab 2nd place in the classic cars seasonal on 246 reverse.
I know that this is because of my tuning. I feel like the car is tail happy, but moreso because of its weight distribution than the power. I can get it to slide under power if I force it (power off, turn in, hammer down etc.), but otherwise it's relatively planted. The biggest issue is that once it starts rotating, it goes relatively quickly. This I of course would assume is due to it's ridiculously short wheelbase, and the fact that it's a RR car.
The cars gearing doesn't provide too much in terms of wheelspin. I was also trying to run it and tune on racing softs (just making quick adjustments to get through a race. But this is obviously a no-no for tuning...
I also think I might try a mid range turbo charger on it rather than trying to deal with the lag and gearing nightmare's on the high range turbo.
Anyways. I'm not a tuner... but I'm going to start trying to sort this car out. I'm urging one of the big dog tuning shops to do the same, as I know it will be done much quicker.
Frankly, with all of this monetary limiting, cars like this that are cheap and fun are going to gain more popularity!
Alright... enough blabbing.
