Guys, just thought I'd point out now that
SoFIFA now has pretty much the perfect search engine for offline squads. They've now added the option to search between specific leagues and teams (free agents included!) and the searching works for every roster from FIFA 11 up to the current FIFA 13 rosters. There have been a ton of changes to a ton of players and there are plenty of men who aren't in UT with incredible ability so make sure you check it out! And you can even find out some of the stats your favourites had in the past

Best FIFA site around for me.
Something I wish could be somehow worked out for FIFA 14 Career Mode, is possible reserve squads - mainly to allow players that could get very high potential that aren't starting for you get some game time. However there's two teams that might need a bit of extra work that I'd like to see implemented...
Barca and Real Madrid have their B and Castilla teams respectively in the division below them. (Villareal had the same last year too but they got relegated and their B team went to the third division) In FIFA, you have to 'buy' the players from those teams with your own money even if you are the first team itself and should technically own them! There should be some way round that for the next game. However I wouldn't go as far as not letting them be promoted like they can't be in real life (they can't compete in national cups IRL either and obviously having two teams from the same parish in the same league would be a problem).
This is because there are players on both teams that can be very good if you have a Barca or Real career mode. Obviously at present Deulofeu is now on the full Barca roster (for now. But he got 25 minutes playtime at the weekend. I was so happy :') ) but there are plenty of other Barca B players with great potential, like Araujo, Grimaldo, Dongou etc. Real Madrid Castilla has Jese and that's it really but the point still stands.
Interestingly teams that don't have their reserve teams in the game have them implemented in the main roster itself (i.e. Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Betis). Real Madrid actually had this last year, which meant Jese was in their team to begin with (and still 5* too) but Barcelona had to buy what would be their best future players from the B team (Tello, Cuenca of FIFA 12, Deulofeu FIFA 12 Winter and 13, Nolito FIFA 11).
As I follow the young Spaniards quite a lot, I think this would be a really good system to implement for next game, even if it unique solely to the Spanish leagues themselves. But the reserve teams for the rest of the games' teams still stands.
