On my silver team, Whelan and Cattermole are really slow but good. As is Whittaker at RB.

I don't know if you'd call Lisandro Lopez slow, but he's one of the players I'm more excited about trying if I make my Ligue 1 team. Same with Debuchy.

And just to make my Dempsey point a little more valid, he's scored from CAM the last few qualifiers and I'm pretty sure he starts in the middle from Spurs, where I've seen him score a few late winners. I know players like Rafael have gotten cards for continued form.

Just got my first FUT injury! It only took 859 games.

Read that, wondered why I would punch a wall over a player getting hurt, realized what it actually meant and laughed for a solid 30 seconds.

It think it broke the game though, because it kicked me out of UT after and wouldn't let me back in.

It only happens on weekends, without fail.

It's all for the best though, I have a project due Thursday that I needed to start anyway.

I wanted to create a new team, but can't do that now. That's what happens when you let the cleaner look after the severs at the weekend.

The funny thing is that you think someone actually watches the servers. Ha, ha, ha.

In other news, Emenike's MOTM card is 100% worth it. I'm debating whether to spare Mikel's MOTM for the extra 50k toward my Ligue 1 team.

If we ever get a Dempsey in the middle (not saying it will be on Wednesday), this:

Dempsey never gets involved on the left for me. I feel like he'd be much more of a playmaker in the middle.

Can someone tell me how the Capital One Cup in career mode is decided? In the semi-final I played City to a 2-2 draw, getting 2 goals away(if that matters) and went scoreless in the second leg, but they went through. There was no overtime or penalties, so I don't really know how that was decided.

While I don't know for sure I bet it's another bug, the game is full of them. In real life away goals only count after extra time in this cup so it should be like that in game but it probably isn't and in any case you should have gone through so a bug is the likely reason.

No extra time was played, so I just assumed that away goals would put me through. I was really looking forward to winning the for the third year in a row. But oh well, there's always the Champions Cup (League) and FA Cup too.

Hey guys, I just got this game off of a sale on Origin for my PS3. I read about it before I bought it, and it looks really fun! Do you guys have any tips for a noob like me? I haven't played FIFA, or any other soccer game before.

If you're playing Career Mode, look up players with high potential and try to purchase them for your side.

So much scripting in my most recent Career Mode match against Stoke. I scored in the 3rd minute with a lovely timed through ball to Mata. Off kickoff. Pennant bombs down the wing and throws in a cross to Jones to tie. Then they get another goal from Jones off a cross a few minutes later. The rest of the match I was all over them taking good shots left and right. All of my players shot straight at Begovic. Or Begovic made some completely outrageous shots. Not to mention I had a time where I hit the bar 3 TIMES IN A ROW. Shoot, Bar, Rebound, Bar, Rebound, Bar, Rebound Begovic. Absolute Horse S&^T.

I haven't had anything like that happen, but whenever I play against Bayern/Barca/Arsenal, all they do is take the ball down the wing and keep it there until my defense is scattered. I beat them all, but it's really irritating when the computer uses sweaty FUT tactics against you.

MAJOR EDIT: HOLY CRAP. PULLED A WALLYSON!

Any of you playing Career Mode and looking for a good CAM that is young and will grow. Borussia Dortmund has a CAM named Bittencourt. He's absolutely insane. 17 years old and rated 70. His states are just unreal. 90 Agility and 91 Acceleration. He dominated defenders.

Leitner too, and any player for Dortmund in general. Their team, for the most part, is amazing and young. I signed Reus and Hummels, and they dominate everyone.

Yep.

More BS. Not even going to bother to type this out. Let me put it this way. Chelsea vs. Reading. Who should dominate the game? Who isn't dominating the game? I bet that you can get it pretty easily.

Bittencourt and Leitner are both overrated.

Instead, buy Leandro Paredes, Boca Juniors' 74 CAM (he was 62 at the start of the game. The highest gain of any player in the game.) at the age of 18 with 83 long passing as well as strong short passing, 81 shot power, 83 long shots, fairly decent dribbling, good free kicks, just enough speed, even OK strength, 86 potential and 4* skills.

Kelvin can also work in that regard (he is a CAM now).

Also, Jean-Paul Boetius is now just insane...can only imagine where he'll be next year. Any of the great young Spanish skillers are great as well.

Bittencourt and Leitner are both overrated.

Bittencourt got a crucial goal and an assist for me in his opening game. Since then he has been a super sub. Honestly plays SOOOO well. 5* weak foot and good agility is all I need in a good attacking midfielder.

Has anyone else gotten nothing worth 5k in all the packs they've opened so far? I'm pretty sure I'm the last one left.

5* weak foot and good agility is all I need in a good attacking midfielder.

Weak foot ability is useful in the middle, certainly...but then there's also the option of buying one player and working out his stronger side and using that to your advantage yourself. Agility is good for quick dribbling sure, but it becomes even more useful with skill moves to use because you can rack them off quickly. In conjunction with good ball control and dribbling you'll have a masterpiece.

If it were my career mode this is the ideal team I'd try to form at the start of the game

In 4-1-4-1

GK: Kapino
RB: Clyne
CBs: Okore and Kongolo (Ake if I found the time to build him up)
LB: Melgarejo/Willems/Shaw
CDM: Junior Malanda
RM: Bakkali (Pablo Sarabia or Kelvin, Vadillo if I were confident, at first because Bakkali takes time to raise)
CMs: VILHENA (87 potential!!! (and good at pretty much everything) If only he were still 4* :( ) plus Paredes or Oliver Torres. Jonathan Williams if I just want to be fast
LM: Deulofeu above all (he has been switched to a RW for no real reason, so I'm running him in the position he always has been), though there are a ton of good people at this position (Pizzi, Lucas Piazon, Mackay-Steven, definitely Boetius, Bruma, Edison Flores, Bernat at a push...you can use Jese and Fischer if you want, but I won't)
ST: Wellington Nem if I were being very, very cheap, but more likely someone like Matej "Mr Otter" Vydra or Romarinho (he is the same as Wellington Nem really isn't he... :dopey: ) Maybe Chelsea's new Islam Feruz lad?

I'm tempted to sell MOTM Mikel due to the widespread positive reviews on normal Mikel. His orange card looks so cool but I don't think I can justify IFs anymore unless they give a position change like Aubameyang, Emenike and Pitroipa.

Sold Wallyson for 156k after changing him from a 3-4-1-2 into a 4-3-3. I've got 300k now, but am still trying to sell IF Figueroa, so I should end up on ~330k.:)

Good stuff.

Can't decide between Dabo and Theophile-Catherine for LB in a Ligue 1 team.

What kits/badges are you all using now? Just wondering as a couple days ago I got tired of the same old Liverpool kits and splashed out a bit on some new ones.

I've got:
Atletico Madrid Badge
RB Salzburg home kit

Elche CF away kit

All Celtic stuff for me.

I do have that Red Bulls kit though, and save all the kits I like from my bronze packs. My favorite one I've pulled is the red Samsung jersey that's basically a red Chelsea kit, I think its Cheltenham Town or something.

I did prefer Leitner to Bittencourt if I'm honest. In the second season Leitner started to become an amazing dribbler of the ball.

Another good player, a GK is Thibaut Courtois, but you have to wait until the end of Season 1 to get him. Chelsea keeper on loan at Athletico Madrid, aged 20, 82 OVR, pretty much as good as Cech.

Does anyone know of a nice hybrid squad for 330k? I've been trying to come up with something, but I haven't liked any of the results.
