FIFA 14 (It's Here)

In a new effort to make money (which is actually entertaining), I've planned a 50-60k squad with a couple of 10k players, a couple 5k players, and so on. This allowed me have an easier goal than just saying "I'm saving up for Van Persie" and having to play for a month to get 130k. It also gave me time to make sure I got better proces compared to my usual impulse buys. The first team I did is in normal 4-3-3 (hard to use futhead on my phone):

Samaras---SIF Mitroglou---IF Salpingidis
Scott Brown--Diego--Bernard
Izaguirre--Felipe--Dante--SIF Srna
Adler

I have all the players except Samaras, and I didn't do any position changes. I think I may actually play a few games with it, just because Mitroglou and Srna look epic. It's also nostalgic of my Wanyama-Brown-TOTS Commons-IF Russell juggernaut from last year :D.

I love team building.
 
A question to all you Fifa geeks. ;)


I got Fifa 14 for PS3. I know that you can upgrade on PS4 for like $10 or something, and keep your stats etc.

However when I get my PS4, I am looking to buy a disk copy of it, and trade in my Fifa 14 PS3 version. I will still keep my stats etc right? Since I am gonna use the same account and whatnot.
 
And when I went to sell that team Mitroglou was 60% of what I bought him for TWO DAYS AGO.

Argh.

I bought the cheapest one that appeared for 3 days. Then he just magically drops 10k.
 
I just nailed a 38 yard free kick with Schürrle. I kind of surprised myself. That was the first time I ever made an opponent watch replays. As expected, EA didn't save it as a match highlight so I could video it, but that was probably the sickest goal I've ever scored.

Blame EA, happy hour after happy hour and it's crashing the market. There are more special packs tonight too. :O
 
I already blamed EA because its normally the right answer to everything in dealing with electronics, but a reason helps too :).

My friend has packed Özil, Falcao, and Schweinsteiger in 2 days.

First game back in one month. Leading 3-0 and then the game breaks when doing a replay. Now I know why I switched to playing GTA V and will be playing GT6 in the next few days.

Playing against a 66 rating side team with 50 chemistry, dominating for 90 minutes... Loses 1-4...

I mean really Fifa??? My team is twice as good as his, I dominate him the whole match, and he ends up with 4 lucky goals... :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:



And not only does my opponents get lucky goals, they always seems to be first on the 2nd ball, always up in the tackle whenever I turn around and always get the ball because my players suck at passing. I mean, players like Mesut Ozil, Carrick, Gerrard and such is worse than a turtle when it comes to passing. Yet my opponents team has worse midfielders and they pass like the AI on Legendary.. Some times better...


Fifa is really unbalanced and having the better team is never an advantage, because if you play against a lower rated team, your team gets nerfed and theirs gets boosted. Bloody stupid with no logic whatsoever. :mad::mad::mad::mad:

I know that I am done with randoms online until this issue is fixed...

Issue? It's how EA makes money. Gotta keep the 12 year olds without the patience to build a team coming back for more.

They won't admit it though and it does not always happen and your team can be bad when it's lower rated too, people also lag the game on purpose and some can dc you now as well. FIFA could be a very good game but it's spoilt by certain things and by the way people play it.

Now, I'm normally at the front of the Que when it comes to bashing EA when something is wrong, but after playing the next-gen version as well as the PS3 version, I would just like to say that the next-gen version is so much better in every way I can think of. In fact, it is definitely the best football game I have played.
There are no more sluggish menu's as they run smooth as silk, no more silly glitches in-game (that I've experienced first-hand), and the crowd is full of life and the presentation overall is spot on, compared to the PS3's version which has awful crowds and no sense of atmosphere. There are also other things that impress me, but I would like to get back to playing it :p

Please bear in mind I am only playing the CM at the moment as opposed to UT so I'm unable to comment on that aspect of the game.

That's good to hear. I only play CM so, I'm glad to hear that the menu's are a lot less laggy. Unfortunately, I have no reason to buy a PS4 until GT7 so, I'll probably be on FIFA 16 then lol.
 
I'm glad to hear that Fifa 14 is better on PS4. I'm getting my PS4 this friday so the weekend should be good.

On the other hand, all my friends who plays Fifa 14 will still be on PS3. :p
 
So, is the market going to crash? I looked at FIFA stuff for the first time in a couple of weeks today expecting my team to be worth half of what it was, but I couldn't tell much difference. Do I need to sell?
 
Prices have dropped a bit... Not to much bit a tiny bit.


I expect the prices to drop alot more in the days after christmas eve.
 
I'm looking to start a new career mode team, probably in Germany or Spain. All I want is a team with nice kits and a decent budget. So far, I've looked at Bayer Leverkusen and Shalke 04. Anybody know some good La Liga career mode teams?
 
Sold everything I had worth over 10k, and I made around 240k. Hopefully I'll be able to buy Aguero or a good Bundesliga team.
 
Got 630k coins at the moment. Don't know what i'm saving up for though. Sold van Persie and looking to get Aguero as ST and Hazard as LW for my BPL team.
 
Nice! Tell me if Hazard is good. If he isnt, I'll just do Aguero and Van Persie up top.

Just got my PS4. Not sure if the system is being wonky, but in not sure how sync my Ultimate Team.

I said I'd play until I won, its been 4 hours and I havent yet. At least I'm getting shat upon in super high definition. The game itself looks amazing, but nothing has changed. Maybe once I buy a team back it won't be so bad, but it doesn't look like it. I will say FIFA looks a thousand times better than Madden.

How are you making so much money? I just am trying to pick a time to buy Aguero.. I cant tell if he will drop anymore.

I just got IF Adebayor. Should I sell him now or wait? All I know about IFs is that they're at the lowest at the end of the week.

I dont know what the hell is going on. As soon as I get a PS4, I suddenly turn to crap. I normally allow 2, maybe 3 goals per game. Ive not conceded less than 4 since ive been on PS4 and only gotten 3 points out of basically 10 games. Now I'm going to get relegated twice in a row for no reason. Aguero is fantastic for anyone who is wondering, but he cant overcome the fact that every decent attack against me scores.

Trading and lucky packs. Getting players like Eto'o, Lewandowski etc.

Bought Aguero for my BPL team, and he's been decent so far.

Also this is my current BPL team, after getting Zabaleta from pack, bought Hazard for about 180k coins, Yaya Toure for about 120k coins and Aguero for 280k coins:

I picked up Aguero for 259k BIN last night during the happy hour, I felt proud of myself. Hopefully I may win a game today.

Good price for Aguero.


I still feel that having the better team is never an advantage. Playing against a 72 rated/61 chemistry with my 85/100 team and I still getting wooped. I mean, i'm by no means the best fifa player but quite decent I would say.

My players also always just stands there and waits for the pass or the 2nd ball, while my opponent rushes for it, gets it, shoots and scores... It's just so unbalanced it's annoying. Already smashed 1 PS3 controller. :mad::mad::mad:
 
Surprised that you guys have mixed emotions about Aguero on FUT. He's an absolute ANIMAL on Career Mode. I bought him with my Real Madrid Career Mode and he had something like 17 goals in half a season with the team.
 
I only have mixed emotions because I'm getting a new rear end torn for me every game. Hopefully it'll stop soon.

I've also noticed that I havent played at my home stadium in over 2 seasons. I dont know why.
