Don't do it, they are not that good, well the cheap ones are not, don't know about the Iniesta, Xavi, Ronaldo, Messi, Di Maria class of player. Only players that have impressed me so far are Diego Costa, Adrian and Casemiro. That said my BPL team isn't that great at the moment but I can scrape wins with that easier.
Yeah, I changed my mind. I'll stick to my BPL team, and improve it. Though I need alot of coins now to improve anything.

I did get Rooney for my team today, so now I got Rooney/RvP on top. :D

FUTHEAD

Got bored and decided to play some FUT. My Liga Portuguesa is kinda terrible, so I tried to make a hybrid with Di Natale, and failed, so I just ended up with a nice Serie A side.

Di Natale is really good, I think he's scored 5 in 3, bagging at least 4 assists as well.
Hamsik has scored 4, also having a few assists to his name.
Montolivo is incredible. He can hold down the midfield well with De Rossi, has a killer pass, and a nice shot.
De Rossi is solid. He makes so many tackles and breaks up the play. He makes some nice runs too, and scores a fair bit.
Lulic is great on the left combined with Radu. They break up everything, and Lulic has a great cross and shot.
Campagnaro is great, really good at tackling, would definitely recommend him.
Handanovic is incredible with the glove chemistry style. He makes so many good saves.
Abate tends to be invisible for the most part, but shows up when you need the pace.
Ogbonna is terrible.

I think its time to start the BPL team. I just wish I had some extra funds to start up. I don't know how some people have enough for Van Persie and Rooney.

I think I want to start with Schürrle and Eto'o, but I don't know whether to use 4-3-2-1 or the 4-3-3 with a CAM. Either way, I'd probably have to sell my Brazil team, and they've been pretty good.

Just as an aside, my Eddie Johnson pushed down David Luiz on the way to scoring today. I think that says it all.

Well EA sort of did one small good thing, you can now search by player name on the web app too, should finally stop all the idiots selling Cleverly at Rooney's price and all the others.

I would still prefer that there was no web app though as there would be no autobuyers then.

Anyone have any suggestions for a BPL team? So far, I have David Luiz, Mobido Diakite, Ashley Cole, Glen Johnson, Eto'o, and Schürrle. I want to run the 4-3-3 with the CAM. I think I want Walcott as RW, Paulinho and Fellaini as the CMs, and Cazorla as the CAM.

I'm open to suggestions though.

Do you guys think this is a good squad? I've been trying to get Benzema in as a lone striker, with Thiago Silva in defense, but haven't been able to get more than 3 leagues.

Got 2 now, which one do you guys think is better?
Squad 1
Squad 2

In my opinion, your first squad is the better choice. However I would look into the linkup between the 2 CB's and their link to CM/CAM.

If you cut Eto'o, you could play Jovetic at striker, and have Nani/Navas on the right instead of Walcott.

Eto'o was kind of the point, since he's destroyed me everytime I've seen him. And I like buying the more expensive players first because I'm patient enough to save up for the cheaper ones, like Ramires or Nani. No way I'd be able to sit and save up 40k for Eto'o.

I forgot to temper my expectations, I didn't remember that 250 coin bronze players get the same predetermined bounces as expensive players do. Fault. Hopefully next gen has a better engine that allows player skill level to determine matches rather than the computer.

What a day on FIFA. What a day. 5 losses. One draw in the last game where three points were necessary. At least a hundred needlessly deflected passes over six games. Four or five extendo-leg tackles to take away sure goals. I feel like some organization may not have wanted me to succeed in Division 2.

The sad thing is, EA could even predetermine the games without it being so frustrating. Since it take so few points to be relegated, EA has to make you lose 6 or 7 in a row to knock you down. If they bumped the point requirements up, then you could still win some while EA achieves their ultimate goal of making sure you don't earn too many coins.

I dumped Cazorla as my CAM because he was nonexistent and couldn't control the ball long enough to do anything without getting shoved off. I replaced him with Jovetic, who was outstanding for two games but has calmed down.

I can afford Rooney or Suarez. Thoughts?

Rooney has been excellent for me, though as a striker and not CAM. Scored quite alot of goals, many from beyond 25 yards, included freekicks...

Haven't tried Suarez, and probably never will.

I'll probably give him a go. I'll live without 4* skills and I think the strength will help him hold up better and probably create more chances.

I would pay so much money for this to be fair. So much money.

The sad thing is, I forgot from last year how much EA hates people with good teams. I think that's my problem with this game.

Shouldn't have posted that. Lost two games with perfect defense and conceding from corners. Thanks a million for rewarding customer loyalty EA.

For what?

Oh and this is my latest team and formation. Working quite well offensive, though of course struggling a bit defensive.

Clicky!

A bit bold playing two slow CB's in a 3 back formation. You should try having a box-to-box CM next to Carrick, since he's more defensive, but not fast enough to cover the defenders on his own.

I do play Wilshere from time to time, and he is pretty decent. But it has worked out so far.

Have you though about getting someone like Sakho/Vertonghen to play LCB or RCB, and then Vidic in the center?

Ultimate team in general. I wish every game didn't have to be white knuckle, decided at the finsh style. Some of those relatively frequent 8-5 games in FIFA 13 were fun even on the losing end (though I would never admit it at the time). Now every game I play is 1-0 or 2-1 (or worse, with me still only getting 2 at most) and I know that if I concede, I lose. And more than likely, if I score, I will concede by header or rebound when I played good defense.

If I said anything derogatory about last year's game, please disregard it and forgive me. Last year, even if you played with a sweat team, you knew you had good players and you could compete. This year, no matter who you have or how good they are every game against you, you have absolutely no chance against anyone. At all. I just lost 5 straight games in Division 4. There is no rhyme or reason to anything in this game, and it is probably the single most frustrating experience I have ever had playing any video game. I just pray that GT6 will make me stop wanting to play this.

The only thing that annoys the crap out of me is how hard it is to push opponents off the ball. They walk through 3 really strong tackles and I can only get the ball off them if they miss place a pass. It's insanely hard to disposes them.

Yet when they come to tackle me they can push off big strong players like Negredo, and Alonso as though they aren't there.

Oh and if by some miracle I can push them off the ball it's always a foul, two minutes later they do the same to me and the ref gives sod all.

Apart from that I haven't got any big problems with the game.

The whole system is just screwed. On the loading screen, I saw a team with Zlatan and Bale as the strikers, Cristiano as the LM, and Sergio Ramos and Thiago Silva as the CBs. I go up on him 4-0 in the first half and he rage quits.

That's not how it should be. I should be running these freaking annoying teams with Hernandez and Torres and Mandzukic into the ground, and actually fear teams like the ones I just mentioned. I'm trying not to complain too much because I won, but a team like that (or mine, for that matter) shouldn't just get overpowered like that.
