Anyone download the demo? It feels more polished than 09 but I honesty think it's not that big of an improvement to be its own game. It feels like a patched up 09

I will buy this game the day it comes out.

Fifa series are among the best PS3 games for me. Maybe from year to year its not that much diference. You get all new updated squads, a couple of new stadions, some new stuff in manager mode, and some sales gimick about this or that is better than the previous version. But truely they seem to be very similar to last years game.

But 39 £ for 1 year off superb entertainment is not ruining my budget. These game has more longterm value than almost all other games.

The game is superb when playing against a mate 2 player one 1 console. It also has 100's of hours of entertainment when playing manager mode. and just as much when playing online.

I also always sell my old Fifa's about two month before the new one comes out. So in reality i pay like 20 £ for it a year.

Ohh trust me I know. Me and my friend play 09 so much. We had days where we played like 30 matches, 10 minutes each.. I love FIFA and been playing it for the longest time. I just feel like this game didn't advance from the previous one as much. The biggest was the different between 08 and 09.. I don't blame the developers though, you can't do much in a year lol Plus this is just a demo and I think the final build will be more polished. I noticed a few mistakes in the menus and stuff. Therefore I am waiting for the game to come out then make up my mind.

And ya Im getting it the first day it comes out also :)

what's you PSN id I might spank you in a match or two haha

No annually released series will ever make huge steps in development.

I d/l the PES2010 demo for the PC a week or so back, I always used to be a PES'er, but not played any of them since PES6. I enjoyed it, I'll definitely be getting PES2010, but for PC.

fifa10 will blow away pes series for good (ps3 version).
four days and this will be so true for all of you ;)
Last played pes08 and it was really bad... but for ps2 pes still rules i assume (SD).

There is a review out on ign too. Here is a link :-http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/102/1028179p1.html

I will be looking to get this sometime this week, after it is released of course. I am waiting for release this time ( rather than pre-ordering it ) in the hope that I can get it a little cheaper. I was still playing 09 up until a couple of weeks ago, so if FIFA10 is as good as the reviews say it is, I can see me spending just as long on this one.

I'm going to trade in my 09 and get the 2010 version direct from the EA Store :D $22!!!
I still like FIFA 07 (PS2) better than the 09 version. I finished 4 Manager seasons on 07 and used almost all the teams available, on 09 I am still on my first season with only my 4th team. :indiff:

So who else has picked this up? I got it a few days ago and have to say I've been pretty impressed with it. Especially the online mode which has gotten the revamp it desperately needed.

I have bought it too and having never really played online with any game other than GT5p, I thought I might try out online on FIFA 10. I especially want to try out the Pro Club Championship with my newly created player, but to do that I need a club. So I thought I would ask if anyone here has or knows of a club that needs players, I am a Striker, I don't think I'll be any good playing anywhere else.

Why did I read this thread's title as 'Fiat 2009', with the false hope that Fiat had announced a gaming tile devoted to driving 500s around. Stupid auto-mind of mine.

The problem with the "Be a pro" type matches is that everyone wants to be a striker. And as soon as anyone gets the ball the whole team just runs en mas to the goals. Their are so many Offsides the game is almost unplayable.

Whereas I play Left Back, and just tackle the oncoming players (Cause everyone is too selfish to pass) end up with 15 tackles a game and get a 9.5+ rating everytime.

I had the game a few days.
So far i have been enjoying it, and already picked up a lot of trophies.

I have a few isues with it though.

1. I lost a lot of online games because i was sudenly signed out from PSN for no apperant reason. I have never had any connection problems with any other PS3 game. I have a 20 MB connection and its very stable. I googled the problem, and it seems there are many people with this isue, so hopefully they will fix it in a patch.

2. I havent really started manager mode yet, but reading feedback from other users, it seems there are so many bugs, and glitches with it. So i think im gonna hold off playing it until a patch.

See the link for bug list

This is really anoying. Im getting really tired of buying games that are so haunted by bugs and stuff that I have to wait months until a patch will fix it.

My mate had a similar problem with the online games. He had to delete his Fifa 10 profile and start over. Lucky he didn't really have any saves or anything. But that got it working fine.

A lot of those bugs are just nitpicking. But I agree some are pretty bad. And the commentary has been directly pulled from 09 and then added a few. But fortunately, the majority of those bugs aren't gameplay based, so it's still a decent game to play.

Well that is what I suspected might happen, hence why I would rather join a team than just play a random Be a pro match. Surely if someone on a team were continually bad, being selfish, going offside etc, then the team owner would just get rid of them wouldn't they.

The reason I am a striker is because I am not very good anywhere else, though I could possibly play central midfield. I am not too good with skill moves and crossing, so I would be pretty usless as a winger. I also play on all manual settings and I still haven't totally got used to it. My offline stats so far are 14 goals and 13 assists in 21 games ( professional difficulty ).There are no penalities or free kick goals in them 14 goals as I don't take them and I am not captain yet.

I've downloaded and played both demos (PES10,Fifa2010) and I prefer PES...

My first Fifa game was Fifa 95 - for the megadrive...

My first PES game was PES(1) for the PS2 (It was called some else before becoming "Pro Evo")

I haven't bought a footy game since that very first PES for the PS2 - but I feel like I might get one of these two...

And based on the Demo - PES wins...

On another note though - I've also downloaded the EA Hockey demo (I forget the proper name) - and that was most excellent fun - so maybe I'll buy that instead?!

Yeah i agre some of those bugs are a bit nitpicking, but some of them are pretty big IMO.

Losing players on your squad for no apperant reason, that kind of a game breaker to me.

NHL 10 is the name you are looking for. I actually only started to follow Ice Hockey after I got a NHL game years ago ( It's that long ago I don't remember what year ). I plan on getting NHL 10 at some point or other, if I can pick it up at a reasonable price. Not that this really has anything to do with FIFA so i'll stop there.:sly:

What I don't understand is why did it take so long to come out with 360 degree movement? Being restricted to 45degree increments was really dumb. That alone is almost makes it worth buying Fifa 10. I'll probably wait until Christmas to buy it though.

You can do that in PES too?

PES just came out with 360 too although I think that I read somewhere that it isn't as finely graded as FIFAs but I was talking about upgrading from an older version of FIFA(08) rather than choosing FIFA over PES.

PES or "Pro Evo" is also called Winning Eleven I believe.. :) I was a FIFA player to start off with and then switched over to PES... FIFA gameplay just doesnt feel right anymore to me... that goes for all iterations of it... the PES gameplay just feels right and a bit more realistic... but maybe thats also not the proper term... lets put it this way.. When I watch two people playing PES it feels like Im really watching a game as I would on TV... I dont have that with FIFA... but Im not here to flame... they are both good titles :) Was only stating my preference and answering yeti's question

I'm sure it wasn't called "Winning Eleven" in the UK... -> Just did a search - it was called "ISS" (Which I believe stands for "international soccer superstars" or something similar)

But going back to the comments about gameplay - that's exactly how I feel about the difference between fifa and proevo!!
