First GTA Car Rolling Out

Why is everyone complaining? These are all cars we already have. They are not new in any way other than the stickers. If you want to drive a Tuned 370 buy it, paint it blue, add a wing and some parts, and viola GT Academy car.

Even if we got all the cars today, they are certainly not game changers. I fail to see why so many are upset.

Exactly, it's just a collecting thing.

No matter how much you say it doesn't matter cause they are cars we already have, people in a few years (maybe months lol) will be trying to get these cars just cause they say GT Academy.

Well PD are certainly making it easy on the complainers by their stupid actions right now aren't they?

The issue for me is that there is simply no logical reason to release the content in such an idiotic manner.

It would be like a parent giving their child a pile of presents at Christmas then telling them they could only open one present a week for the next two months.....Isn't it nice that the parent bought them all those presents? Isn't it nice that they are free? Yeah, but what's with the stupid delivery system?

and yet there would be a bunch of posters on here saying "Man those parents just get blamed for everything no matter what they do!"

Well that is a great idea, to be honest.
Something to look forward to each week, lasts longer and it teaches the kid patience

The only problem now is that we already know what we get.

i will never use the Academy cars, most will just stay as unused tickets, the racing suit is the only thing i was looking forward to, guess i'll have to use GT5 as a coaster for the next two months...

The weirdest thing PD ever did after GT5 released is the date of the cars you will get, i can't think of any reason of why its like that way.

Okay, well, just now I remembered this thread after reading the article about the prizes.

What a great waste of time, IMO. I'm not too bothered, however, because I have all the normal versions of these cars which I can modify in whichever way I choose. But seriously, I want to know why Kaz thought it was just an absolutely grand idea to release our hard-earned prizes over two months. The suit would have been nice too, but I have a feeling I'll grow to dislike it quickly since everyone and their grandmother shall be clad in the "GT Academy" wear. For now, I'll settle being the Stig. 👍

Oh, it does seem odd. If they release a car every 3 weeks it would give the impression it's getting regular DLC. That's the only reason I can see for this.

At least the cars are already in the game it's not as if your missing much.
The suit and helmet is a different story though. They may release that when Horizon is launched.

Well, I'd like to do a little correction on that ""new" presents".
For those who haven't bought the DLCs, they will actually get two new cars - the Leaf and the GT-R Black edition.

Yep, the regular road versions (Leaf and GT-R Black edition), the ones with stickers are now free.

Hmm odd I've not seen anyone kicking off about this. After all this is GTplanet I would have expected some sort of outcry. Perhaps I've missed it.

I'm in two camps with this. Congrats PD for giving out previously paid for DLC to those who couldn't afford it.

On the other hand if I had purchased the cars (which I haven't ) I'd feel a bit of a mug tbh.

Ah well, I did already feel short-changed when I bought the pack which included slightly different versions of cars already included (the GT-R Black Edition and another MINI version) which I only bought because it also included some nice new additions but it's indeed odd.

On the other hand, the GT-Academy stickers now show you're a freeloading cheapskate.

This is what I see this as. People want more DLC so PD drip feeds these prize cars. I'm not saying that it is their intention but it looks like it.
