Actually, we are just more efficient and don't waste our time on unnecessary letters. Also, we can pronounce Peugeot better.

heck some here thought the t in renault was supposed to be pronounced. some probably still do. i was corrected myself

If your time management is so marginal as to necessitate the elimination of excess letters you need to have a serious think about your lifestyle!!

Ironic that you can pronounce Peugeot better, yet can not purchase their product.
 
We can't purchase their product for a variety of reasons, none of which involve pronouncing French.
 
I don't know. But we can't purchase these cars because of safety regulations, among other possible reasons. I could bring up a political aspect, but I won't. (liberals and greens fault)
