You can see the rollbar is intact, the airbags are deployed. Supposedly the driver and passenger survived. "Walked away" ...

Man, this is old! There was only one guy in the car, and he did survive...

Story goes like this... bunch of S2000 owners going to a meet, some spirited driving along the way. This guy came a bit fast around a corner, and experienced "a bit" of lift off oversteer, straight down the ditch.

Yeah...the C/D article on the new 2.2 liter S2000 said that some owners noticed "innaproprite rotation at the point of dissapearing driver talent." Guess this is what they were talking about. Nice find PR.

I think the little video clip was in the Anti-Ricer video boom posted in the Videos & Photos forum.

That's terrible to see. Gratefully he survived *whew*

heres the file name (of the vid) if anyone want to google it
s2000crash.mpeg

I really doubt that because if you look at the pictures theres no one still in the car. If someone had called 911then the paramedics would have either opened up the car to pull them out or had the car flipped back over. Also the police would have blocked off that area so noone could get that close.

Seach returned a few mirrors, all of which have removed the file.

Anyone else have leads?

yep... I looked at the clip I had once more and thought someone said the tire blew or something but I think the guy just lost control and over corrected or paniced(sp?) or both.

NOOOOO!!! Not an S2000. With top down, it is probably is a less chance of surviving.

What? A soft top convertible offers ZERO added protection. In fact, I would wager heavily that the framing from the top would cause greater threat than not having it up. All those bars become spears as the car is flipped and crushed to the ground.

However, the roll bars appear to be doing their job.

But wouldn't it be better to have the top covering your head when you flip your car? I'm not a very good convertible knowaledge guy.

it may reduce the chance of getting dust in your eyes

Man, nobody died in that wreck. I have that video, and all of the pictures of the wreck on one of my laptops somewhere.

Anyone remember that poon brotha_lynch? Said he flipped & rolled his black S2000 at 120+mph. Riiight.
