You will if everyone else is also in the pits, not on track.
That's how it worked 99% of the time in Brandon's series. Anyway - if you don't be believe me/Brandon - this is something for you guys to test.
15 minutes, to my knowledge.
Shame you got in late, I'm sure you've seen restarting and/or waiting only seems to compound these issues though, glad you got in the race, we actually had very good luck with DC's tonight, only having 1. Especially considering people couldn't even all enter the first room.
R1600TurboAh, but that does make a difference. Say if I got P1 and came into the pits, once I select OK on the tires/fuel, I press pause and let the game pull me into my pit stall and let it sit there. If I do this, then I should stay P1 unless someone beats my time.
Now, if I pressed pause and hit the exit button, yes it would put me in my pit stall, but it would also exit me from the track. (if thats understandable) That could possibly be what is messing up the grid.
CSLACRI've never once seen that, ever. Certainly not exiting to the lounge.
The best lap will stay on the board, but you won't start there anymore.
You will always stay P1. If you set fast time and go back to the lounge to watch everyone else qualify, as long as nobody beats your time you will start P1, providing that you've called everybody back to the pits before you start the race. If you have people out on the track (running or parked) when the race starts then you risk having a screwed up grid.
If you wanna test this, have everyone go to the pits (except the host) after qualifying and stay there. Have the host go to the live timing monitor, look at everyone's times and record what the starting order should be (based on fastest laps, not the order they appear in the timing monitor list). Start the race (everyone stays in the pits during countdown) and see if the order matches what the timing monitor showed. Of course it won't show the hosts time since he's not on track so he'll have to make a mental note and slot himself accordingly, but the game will line him up correctly.
Do you use the auto start timer? That could be part of your problem.
No. Because we're all human, we all make mistakes. Mistakes are fine, but eventually it gets carried away and everything is "just a mistake".i have a problem with this kind if ishh. You make a move on the track you live with it.Racers take each other out all the time in real life this is no diffrent.Everyone trys to race clean but last lap last corner 2nd place expect it lol.See you in the pits.
That could definitely work. I just like the simplicity of the current method.Just to be sure, we could do what MULE does to set up the grid. We qualify on free run and we write down our positions. Then we reset the track, we join the track and we lineup according to our Qualifying spots. Then we just start the race.
I think the no pit/no leave track will work. I really, really do. Of course testing will continue, but I have utmost faith in it atm. It's worked fine before, now it doesn't. So either we figure out what's wrong (which we probably won't) or we just switch to the old method.
Perhaps the trick is for everyone to exit the track by entering the pits then. You will always stay P1. If you set fast time and go back to the lounge to watch everyone else qualify, as long as nobody beats your time you will start P1, providing that you've called everybody back to the pits before you start the race. Well we've seen it happen 3 times a week for the past 6 months now so it's very possible and easy to accomplish. 👍

NEPALIIAuto start is used, but how does that affect anything? We can just remove it easily, all it's required is for the host to keep track of the time and when the limit is reached, start the race.
The only problem with this - making sure that the grid is alright requires a steward that's not racing. Brandon's method doesn't. MULE's one doesn't either.I think the no pit/no leave track will work. I really, really do. Of course testing will continue, but I have utmost faith in it atm.
I understand that and it is cool of minion, but imagine if all racing did that some of the greatest finishes in racing are dirty.Picture Earnhardt saying sorry to waltrip.Sorry dude you take the win.Thats rubbishNo. Because we're all human, we all make mistakes. Mistakes are fine, but eventually it gets carried away and everything is "just a mistake".
This is why it is honorable of Minion to hand Spyhunter the win here, I watched what happened, I can't tell what was intentional or what was a mistake, but I do know if that type of passing technique is let go when it's called a mistake, people will start "messing up" far to often.
To explain, he went dirty/wide right in the last left hand high speed turn, (completely off usable track by rules), then again went completely off track into the grass on the right after coming back on the track, trying to get inside, problem was, Spyhunter was to smart to give up the inside, so Minion ended up 4 wheels in grass, which lead to him sliding (damn real grip) deep into the chicane, which knocked Spyhunter possibly off the track in the chicane.
I know Minion to be a completely clean racer, so I know he wasn't trying to make a dirty move, but accidental or not, he made one of the dirtiest passes I've seen in a series. Him bowing the win out to Spyhunter just shows that he is a clean driver, saw his error, and did what was right, to which I say Bravo. 👍
That could definitely work. I just like the simplicity of the current method.
If we can make it work by not entering pits or leaving track, it seems like a win/win to me.

Except Nepalli's current running total is 92.Just checked the Standings CSL and Nastra joint 5th on 71 pointsi'm behind them by 6 points
I will need an epic performance at madrid to get 5th. It's shaping up to be an epic race at madrid
can't wait.
And what about the lack of real danger, financial aspects, and especially cars being immobilized?I like gravy's point of view in bringing up real life racing. That's why I had that BTCC video posted. For me THAT is real racing. Notice nobody was taken out but there was contact everywhere, but not with mistakes. I freakin love it. On the other hand, I also understand the very strict penalty systems used as GT5 has poor collision physics. The cars bounce off each otherinstead of actually colliding.
Except Nepalli's current running total is 92.

Which means me and Nastra are tied at 5th/6th, which is the cutoff for guaranteed entry to Laguna!![]()
Grid order work out ok?^^^ Forget frogman, he was a random I couldn't kick before the race started.
Everyone in the world was playing GT5 online tonight, so many randoms!
