I don't really liked the tire deformation in Forza 3 but the new deformation looks kinda stunning!

Something is very fish here..

You are seriously telling me you had a bearing 'explode' so violently it took the entire internals of the wheel away, and you sent it back to Fanatec who told you it's not their fault, and to do one..

I'm not buying that at all..

Either there is much more to this story, or it's just a story.. ;)

LOL :)

Destroying the internals part was a bit of an exaggeration. But it looked pretty bad. Wires were all cut up ect ect.

I've never encountered slow loading time on GT5. Just the occasional lobby that freezes up.
Then you have never played the game. Or you have some problems with your internal (biological) clock.

5 seconds load times between basic JPEG menus is *not* acceptable.

And I won't even speak of the 30 to 50 seconds needed to load a race. But admittedly, FM3 is quite bad on that area too, with 20 to 30 seconds to load a race.

Edit : The license tests in particular are insane, you actually spend more time in loading times than in passing the tests. Insane I tell you. I swear I must have spent 1/4th of my actual play time staring at loading screens (with the incessant back and forth in the menus and whatnot). What. The. Heck.

It's basically saying "I have nothing but I won't admit I've lost". Race on dood @ Tenacious D...

And shhiny48 can you post up a pic of the horrible mess that is the internals of your wheel from a bearing 'exploding'? Bearings don't actually explode unless in a car and get very very hot, once that happens they cease up and the force of the car moving is what causes them to explode. Nice try however.

I know what a bearing cease is. I guess I should have been more clear. I don't have a pic because I had it saved on my old computer which is back in the States. But it was more like the bearing cassette that exploded.

And when I say load times. Its definitely not that slow for me. Maybe 15 seconds for a track to load and 1.5-2 seconds for menu's.

No one back in the states that can get it off? And even if the bearing 'cassette' (you mean the bearing casing right?) 'exploded' which is doubtful at best seeing as these things are overengineered to prevent failure even in a wheel it'd be a localized thing and not shred the wiring around it (if there is any...).

Once again, nice try but the 'it's back in the US' story just puts you on even thinner ice when it comes to believability.

Ok, so if you look to the left it says I live in Tokyo Japan. I've recently moved here for Real life racing with a certain unnamed big name auto maker and for College. My parents still reside in the states. And I assume my parents sold the computer since I told them I wouldn't be needing it.

They think that the extensive over use was the probable cause. I'm not much of an engineer so I'm not sure how or why it would explode.

Still don't believe me? Then f^&k off. Oh, but nice try trying to call me out.

Getting defensive and sweary for a reason or just because you want to?

Because you try to call me out even though you don't know anything about me. Not really a good move don't you think?

And what if i'm from Jersey. They use curse words in every sentence.

edit: And it wouldn't be too out of place to be defensive against myself... let alone the amount of people defending a certain video game in this thread.

You've overlooked the fact that I said:
No one back in the states that can get it off?
Which implies I have indeed read that you live outside America.

I've called you out on the BS you're putting across about the impossibility that is a bearing in a wheel exploding and causing mass damage that for some bizarre reason couldn't be covered under warranty, generally when something is that supposedly beyond repair the company takes the blown up one back and sends out a replacement. To get to the conclusion you're talking out your backside I don't need to know who you are, why you're living where you are now, what your dogs name is or what your favorite colour is, just that you've posted up a bunch of crap backed up with crap. Catch my drift champ?

When I read your part about "nobody in the states could get it" (or whatever. Honestly not worth looking it up) it seemed very much to me that you were calling me out. Again, I only have 4 years of english studies so it's not fantastic. I've posted a bunch of opinions. I'd like to know where i can back up opinions. Wanna go into my brain and find the "backed up" stuff?

It's at this point that it'd be best for you to either read, understand and then try and sort out the real facts into a correct story or just flat out stop posting and replying to this thread. But, if you want to go on and on it's your own hole you're digging buddy.

And no, I wasn't calling you out I was asking a quite legitimate question.

Still, questioning my credibility on events that happened in front of me that you are reading about, sounds to me like you were calling me out. Of course i'm going to defend my own credibility.

Bearings in a wheel don't explode but some heads do when presented with such idiocy.

-You can't prove your claim.
-You have given us a bunch of drivel (Fanatec says they can't fix or replace the wheel?)
-You keep pushing the impossible point that the bearing 'exploded' to which I presented why it's complete baloney (google bearing failures).

Your credibility currently doesn't exist no matter how much you try and say otherwise, sorry buddy but it's just hard to believe lies (prove me wrong, photographic evidence of the wheel or documents relating to your correspondence with Fanatec would do the job).

Nothing I have said is a lie. Go on believing your cool because you can call people out on the internet. Guess this can relate to the Casey Anthony case. I guess you need 1million percent proof or else it doesn't count.

Just checked my email. Looks like i've deleted the email from Fanatec. Guess everything I say is a lie to you people then...

Oh do grow up, you do understand it's against the AUP (which you agreed to abide by when you signed up) to post false information? Prove your claim or shuffle off.

Do I think I'm cool because I've called you out on your BS? Nope, if I did wouldn't I be a sad individual...

Holy ****. It's not false information. Here comes my ban from GTP for however long but I could honestly not care.

You obviously feel some enjoyment out of it. Otherwise you wouldn't have kept posting your "factual" information this long.

For the last page it's been a retort to your comments, not facts (which you should atleast be able to understand...)

And no, I'm not enjoying something that's giving me a headache....

Your still responding to it. So it's giving you some enjoyment. If it were truly giving you a headache wouldn't you just stop posting?

I don't really want to be part of this but... as an engineer and one who's done a few things on tribologu and bearings... I've never heard of a bearing explode. I've heard of then seizing and heard of certain types having seals go bad bit never exploding. There's nothing there to.. explode

Even with SSD you have 20 seconds loading times for races :

And 2 to 5 seconds between menus :

Edit : Seriously, those numbers are just insane. You basically have a mandatory 2 seconds wait pretty much every time you press a button in the interface. I'm just, I dunno. What. The. Heck.

Just to make it painfully clear:

Meh, every thing has load time. Look at cell phones. Just deal with it. It's not that big of a deal.

Metal from cassette was torn. Eventually ripping apart. "explode" may have not been the correct word to use... although the bearings exploded about the motor casing.
