Nice to see GT getting some love.
I only just updated it the other day from 1.08 to the latest.
Still haven't played, in an age.
Standard cockpits would encourage me to drive them. I'm not a graphics junkie.

Would have liked more ASpec events, especially after the promise of AI improvements.

Adding support for G27 this late does leave a bitter taste though.

Overall. For free it's very good.
 
Sad to see no promises on the performance front though :(

Loading times and framerate/tearing could really be improved.

Loading times? FM4 demo loading times is way longer! It takes so long just to restart a race, I have never been bothered about the loading times. Im so Happy today spec 2.0 is looking very promising and the DLC track and race car and gear pack sounds very interesting! 2.0 comes out next week also 👍

That's not how I would describe it.

FM4 demo race loading is about 30s, and time trial loading (no opponents) is about 15s.

GT5 race loading are mostly in the 40s to 50s range, and time trial loading (no opponents) is in the 30s to 40s range.

Of course both have "restart race" loadings and FM4 has a pretty lengthy one (about 10s), but it's not like GT5 has an instant one (can't remember the time exactly).

I'll time them if you want (all times are from the top of my head). I don't want to be rude, but trust me, on that point GT5 lose to FM3, big time (and most likely lose to FM4 too, judging by the demo).

Technically it's the standard model with removed windshields and windows.

Edit : That explains why the "topless" cars (don't know how to call them :embarrassed:) have a somewhat decent cockpit view.
 
Ahh nice to see they are putting it into more cars. I just feel they kept stringing me along too long...and its still inconsistent. Is this their counter to Forza (not to mention the fact that Kaz would NEVER EVER acknowledge other console racers).

Holy lolwaffles, that's beyond woeful. It's so bad there is pretty no point in even doing it.

Well, I guess it's slightly better than nothing.

Some asked for this and it is not away from anybody because you do not have to use it. I have to test how black interior seems while playing still images do not tell the whole story.

I can see some interior comparison shots in the future though, FM4 standards vs GT5 standards :sly:

Can someone screen cap the offending interior? My nets still capped so I can't view videos unless I load up over a couple hours time.

Even though this screenshot is really dark, I'm sure some tinkering will help some. But you can't tell what's going on, and this issue has been mentioned before.

Anyways, Oct 11 will be amazing for all of us tho:)

Damn, GT5 2.0? More like GT5 Complete, Or GT5 plus.... It's almost an offense to call it that. But I guess you have to keep your fans interested in the wake of a potential competitor. Most of those features should have been on the retail disc or on a 1.xx patch. I hope they give you guys some good tracks... A revamped EL Capitan would be nice, many love that track and it was the newest in GT4, if my mind doesn't fail me

lol oh wow, that's bad.

Thankfully my screens brightness and contrast settings are correct and I really couldn't care much for the DeLorean.
