I hate to sound like a jerk, but I used to do that on my banana bike in about 1971. We had a lot of roads with a fine coating of gravel on them, and you can do some viscious drifts with the coaster brake.

A couple of years later we graduated to dirtbike motorcycles. We used to go flat-out sideways in a big circle around a huge pile of brush and junk in my neighbor's yard. We wore the grass down in a big ring from the motorcycles going sideways all the way around.

WHOOAAAAA!!!!:eek::eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

that is without a doubt the BEST drift ive ever seen!!!:lol:

except when i saw this guy drift on his skateboard....only to spin out, flip and roll into a pole:lol::lol:

Those are old school road tires, I still have them on one of my old road bikes, but there's nothing really special about them. Wear the tread off the tires on your regular bike and use them to drift, they'll be just the same.

We used to do stupid stunts like that in the gravel. We actually had a little tiny kid's bike we used to do donuts (Fairly odd, and lame, but fun) on in the mud when we were like 8 or 9.

haha.. thats a cool picture.. i still like the sega rally commercial with the lil boy on the tricycle drifting around the turn.. that was hillarious

I know how to do that, kinda. My bike's tires have too much grip in them, I can't get any kind of slide out of them. I once did it on my mom's bike (old racing-style). I actually managed to maintain the drift for a good ten yards, but then the bike gave out...

Now let's hope those drifters won't ask for bicycles in GT4.

Nice pic by the way! :lol:

your the man:tup::lol:

where can i get a bike like that again? for collections sake because i dont have the balls to drift on an olda** bike like that:lol:

You can still buy those bikes, and the rims, and the tires...Somewhere. You could probably just get the rims and tires and put them on a mountain bike with a spacer system to hold them steady.

Hey nice. :D

I hate to shatter the illusion too, but it's not overly hard. I still do it. Find a loose patch of gravel, push hard on the pedals and let it rip. If you can hold it you'll be going round and round for a long time... ;)

Yeah, we had a lot of snow last year, and our township always throws grvel and salt on our streets. Nice drifting on my mountain bike that spring! I also have this old crappo rusted bike I bought 4 years ago at Wal-Mart, that I drift in the snow. Fun times!

i recently got a redline supa x frame and everything.. its just missing seats, brakes, 1 tube, and handlebars.. hmm i think i should make this my drift bike lol
