Now that I see a new demo movie for the FT86 II with in-game renders and footage, I can't help but get super annoyed that we haven't gotten any new downloadable cars by this point.

Anyone else here super fed up with the lack of real development and evolution of this game?

Don;t get me wrong, I really appreciate seasonal events, and races to keep it somewhat less boring... BUT how about a new track or two? How about some more cars? There are so many missing from the game.

Considering they said in an interview before gt5 was released that it can take 6 months to model ONE car,its not that shocking.Plus they have obviously been spending alot of time fixing things/adding seasonal events.I'm not expecting a hint of information about DLC until the summer honestly.

What's the matter..? You duped and glitched, and bought ALL the cars, and now you are complaining you want MORE..?

Slow down and smell the 10W-30 !

I'm annoyed too but I am positive that DLC are in development. No one really knows when it will release but it'll happen... someday.

Agree -_-
Hopefully a premium version of the R8 Race car 01 is part of the first DLC -_- I mean really this car is to awesome to be a stupid standard _-_

The numbers that everyone quotes like that are in "working hours". One month of "working hours" is four people working for a week. I hope it doesn't take 6 actual months of work to model a car.

Umm, calm the hell down ?
GT5 came out in november, it's March. Most games don't have DLC for a couple months. I say if we'll get any, we'll start getting it in April or May.

Everyone complains about "duplicate" cars or cars that are the same thing as another car in the game, yet this Toyota, which is already in the game, is welcomed?

I say, no. I don't want that car. I don't want the one that's already in the game either. Aren't 1000+ cars enough?

It's people like you that are killing the gaming industry. Demanding DLC.

DLC = Content that should have been in the game to begin with.
DLC = Extra money for developers, for content they already had to begin with.

IMHO this game doesn't need "DLC", it needs fixed. Stop complaining, if you want DLC, and your wallets sucked dry, go play WOW.

if they only work for a week a month that explains the 5 years developing lol,and yea i would hope so to i just remember reading that somewheres

I only have ~340 cars and have been playing since release day. I would also like to see more cars released. Clearly PD knows people want a lot of cars, because they included so many to start with. The thing is, not everyone is interested in all 1000 of those cars. I spend more time tuning now than grinding to purchase cars, because there aren't very many left that I really want.

need a new track or two?

GO BUILD SOME!

that's why the track creator is there. you can spend hours perfecting a race track, and even more time enjoying it.

No this game does need DLC, but it shouldnt have needed it.

In reply to the DLC-hating post above this CAN happen: DLC: New content that was NEVER going to be on the disk for a price much lower than a new game.

I'm pretty sure the FT-86 II is somewhat different than the original FT-86.

Yep...about the same amount of difference between a base R34 Skyline GT-R and a R34 Skyline GT-R Vspec II, and everyone loves to complain about that issue.

Not really... with near 1000 truly unique cars to choose from I am still ok with what's in the game...

I am slightly skewed also though because I hate paying for DLC.

Build one? Or randomly create one?
Why spend HOURS on something you don't have full control over?

If we can build tracks we would've been able to download some REAL tracks... not the random stuff...

I'd pay for new cars and tracks but I'm not going to pay for patches or updates. GT5 shipped incomplete IMO so standard cars should be upgraded to premium at no additional charge... wishful thinking

Just wait till Easter. If they were to hand out free stuff, that'll be a nice time to do so. If not and been more than 6months since the game released, then you can complain.

Agree, the 3 or so updates we so far received served to make the game what it probably should've been from the start and GT5 is only about 3 months old now, release DLC too early (given that it hopefully will be free and part of an update) and it'll be "lost" or not be taken as significant among the content (cars) already in the game most people haven't even used yet.
Timing is everything to keep momentum and retain interest, although due to the limited amount of Premium cars that moment will arrive sooner rather than later I reckon for a lot of people.
I sure wish for some new cars (and old GT4 tracks) as I barely drive the huge selection of Standard cars.

And remember, before you get your hopes up, Kaz stated recently in an interview that no new additions (read newly released cars) will be added but only Premium versions of classic cars already in GT5 as Standard versions.
That may not be set in stone however, knowing the track record of Kaz's promises, maybe later new cars may be added after all (like they did in Prologue).

because that car was suppose to be in the game originally.. now toyota changed it so they have to keep up. Probably would have been the same way if the Camaro was still a concept car.

The thing is, no matter what tracks we create, the end result is that they just don't seem enough. The tracks are randomly generated, and only we can adjust the settings for each one. There is no opportunity to "decorate" the track to make it memorable. There aren't too many themes either.

Still, a track editor is better than nothing...

Everybody knows we needed a premium non race Supra! Arrrrggghhh :)

Personally I'd select a whole list of other Standard classics (Toyota 2000GT being one of them) before the Supra for a Premium make-over although it does seem to be very popular on this forum. :)
