Oh don't get me wrong there are more that I would want over this car but it should be in here, why it isn't is beyond me. They have a very popular car from a previous culture and it is only in the race breed form. But its older version is in very weird logic.

because that car was suppose to be in the game originally.. now toyota changed it so they have to keep up. Probably would have been the same way if the Camaro was still a concept car.

I truly do not believe that, they have changed other cars in the game namely the GT-R from version to version. So that thought should be void, not being disrespectful.

Logic isn't a term which seems familiar in PD HQ, I agree that it would complete the nineties Japanese FR GT "trilogy" of Supra, 300ZX (present) and RX-7 (present), or am I forgetting a few?.
Do like the old version though. :)

Everybody knows we needed a premium non race Supra! Arrrrggghhh :)

I agree, that would be nice :)

Still though, i've only just hit 100+ cars and I haven't driven half of them.
Alot of them are just too much fun and full of character.
Adding the power restrictor and the weight ballast has made racing those cars 1000 times more fun.
Character REALLY oozes out of a car when you're squeezing it's balls hard enough :)
I'm happy with what i've got for now.

need a new track or two?

GO BUILD SOME!

that's why the track creator is there. you can spend hours perfecting a race track, and even more time enjoying it.

Shame, though, as we aren't provided with the tools to create courses such as Seattle or Twin Ring Motegi.

i know, i know, i'd love to build me a thunderhill raceway (norcal) but we've got what we've got.

the eiffel courses we keep getting in the seasonal races are very very very fun (for me) and they were made from the track creator. just gotta get "creative". :)

Yeah cause 1000+ cars just isn't enough

Which probably leaves at least 1000 real cars unaccounted for that people would like to drive. Especially when GT5 1000 = 600.

As for DLC, I'd like some for sure. But PD should fix the game first. A physics update would dramatically increase the value of a large car list.

I also hope that future cars are standards, but I doubt such a thing will happen.

Giving us a track editor to replace the random track generator would be cool too.

Yes I feel ya. I have bought a ton of cars and I have forgotten which ones I have changed the oil and have zero miles!!!! :)

Back to the supra, I think this might be a car that they actually had on a list and must have forgotten to model it. Hopefully it will be one of the first cars to come because after some aero that car is bad ass.

Everyone complains about "duplicate" cars or cars that are the same thing as another car in the game, yet this Toyota, which is already in the game, is welcomed?

I say, no. I don't want that car. I don't want the one that's already in the game either. Aren't 1000+ cars enough?

It's people like you that are killing the gaming industry. Demanding DLC.

DLC = Content that should have been in the game to begin with.
DLC = Extra money for developers, for content they already had to begin with.

IMHO this game doesn't need "DLC", it needs fixed. Stop complaining, if you want DLC, and your wallets sucked dry, go play WOW.

Listen to yourself: Somehow, cars that weren't even available to PD at the time of development were supposed to be in the game to begin with? :yuck: New cars are always coming out, and that means more opportunity for PD to include them as DLC.

Don't be so quick to look down on DLC just because some developers purposely leave things out in order to just charge money for them later.

Now that I see a new demo movie for the FT86 II with in-game renders and footage, I can't help but get super annoyed that we haven't gotten any new downloadable cars by this point.

Anyone else here super fed up with the lack of real development and evolution of this game?

Don;t get me wrong, I really appreciate seasonal events, and races to keep it somewhat less boring... BUT how about a new track or two? How about some more cars? There are so many missing from the game.

DUDE!, there are over 1000 vehicles in the game...and you are complaining about wanting more? go away man.

I hope they'll add:

Lamborghini Reventon
Lamborghini Aventador
Ariel Atom (standard, supercharged & 500)
Caterham R500
Ford Taurus '09
Ascari A10

Spa Francorchamps
Silverstone
More Rally locations
Top Gear Test Track Grid Start
1/4, 1/2 & 1 mile drag strip & timing mode
old version of Monza

DUDE!, there are over 1000 vehicles in the game...and you are complaining about wanting more? go away man.

To some, like me, who only use cockpit view there are effectively only the Premium cars we use, which selection is quite limited after a while.
More Premium versions of cars already in the game as Standard may not change much for those who somehow prefer bumpercam but for me it would mean new cars to actually use.
And regardless of the whole Standard/Premium division, if you count the amount of actual unique models (not all the versions or made-up variety also known as padding) the total count doesn't exactly reach a 1000.
Sure there are technically probably a 1000 cars but there's a lot whereby it's just the way they're named which is really different.

How many Porsche 911's do the Porsche fans get to drive in GT again? Since 1000 cars is enough to satisfy everyone, they must think GT5 has a complete car list and that nothing can possibly be added to it to make it better.

DUDE!, there are over 1000 vehicles in the game...and you are complaining about wanting more? go away man.

Yes more newer cars!! NEW CARS This game came out in 2010 but most of the cars are pre 2005. And another thing, most of them look like they came straight out of gt4!!! I'm not going to ask PD to make all the cars premium cause that would be ridiculous but making a premium version of cars like the i-mev and prius but leaving the veyron standard doesn't sit well with me. I would pay for some newer premium volkswagons, opels, audi's or for older premium cars like the supra, 2000gt, e30 m3 and othere iconic older cars. What I'm not going to pay for are premium versions of cars like the r32, r33 and r34 skyline or miatas!!

DUDE!, there are over 1000 vehicles in the game...and you are complaining about wanting more? go away man.

Yeah, you're right man. Who can complain? We got all the duplicate Miatas, Skylines, and RX-7s anyone could possibly want! :dopey:

Agree -_-
Hopefully a premium version of the R8 Race car 01 is part of the first DLC -_- I mean really this car is to awesome to be a stupid standard _-_
Cars in the Gran Turismo franchise tend to be valued on historical importance rather than performance. It became somewhat obvious in GT4, but it exploded in GT5 (10,000,000 credits for a GIULIA? Come on.). For example, why do you think that PD chose to make the Fiat 500 a premium model, rather than the Bugatti Veyron? Or, perhaps, the 787B instead of any other Group C Le Mans car? The R8 Race Car does not have much historical importance aside from winning the Le Mans a few times. Besides, it takes an excruciatingly long time to model premium cars, so asking for more premium cars would've just delayed the game further, possibly to the point of cancellation.

umm Supra 3.0GT Turbo A '88 Premium

umm clearly another person that came into a thread and posted without reading.

I can't believe I wasted my time to do that ^

Yes, i want more also, not because i don't have enough, but because i want some more supercars, like koenigsseggsegsegssgeg, and ariel atom, and porsche etc.

If you noticed, rarely there's cars that were made two years ago and 3 years ago in the used car lot, so they were trying to get as much cars premium as possible but didn't have the time.

Yeah building custom track is quite cool or you can start to collect color chip for no reason, then after PD might released few stuff to DL.
It's up to you to entertain yourself playing a game, Imagine yourself after PD release new stuff if it took 4 months to get you somehow "bored". 2 or 3 new cars plus El CAPITAN wont change much

Yeah, I'm tired of reading about the cars we already have not being able to steer when you bump their output to past 800hp. I want to hear about new cars not being able to steer when you bump their output to past 800hp. Now.

We're creeping up on past five months of GT5, PD... the natives are getting restless. We need shiny new stuff. Now. Never mind that scores of people can't properly drive the cars or navigate the course we already have -- we all paid good money and deserve more. Now.

We need new cars that don't have an RM feature. Now.

We need new cars to be Premium so we can complain about how and why they were a waste of resources, because some obscure other car no one cares about got left out in their place. Now.

We also need new tracks for people to not brake into the corners on. I want to visit new, exotic track locales. I want to race interesting and stimulating people from different countries at these new, exotic locales... and get punted by them. Now.

Sumfucius say: Squeaky wheel not alway get grease. Sometime, get booger in salad.

Yeah cause 1000+ cars just isn't enough

More like 50 skylines, 30 x S2000 and a couple of hundred MX-5s while some of the most iconic cars in the world are nowhere to be seen.

Yes, we truly do need more cars.

Considering they said in an interview before gt5 was released that it can take 6 months to model ONE car,its not that shocking.Plus they have obviously been spending alot of time fixing things/adding seasonal events.I'm not expecting a hint of information about DLC until the summer honestly.

It does NOT take six months to model one car. I used to make planes for Flight Simulator that were a hell of a lot more complicated than this and while it took a while to do, they were a LOT more detailed than these cars are. Go look at the cockpit of an F-16 and think about modeling every knob, light, and decal you see. If I had to I could probably knock the mesh out for a car in a couple of weeks. Interior, maybe a couple more. Animations are going to be tweaking animations from other models for the most part and textures take a couple weeks TOPS.

That's with one person doing the work. Unless it has something to do with the physics (I doubt it) then 6 months is generous.

Examples of my work...
