Some DI engines are having problems with carbon buildup, lets hope Ford gets it right.
Is that why my friend's Speed 3 billows black smoke like a diesel? The thing is bone stock and appears to be running dirtier than my cat-less rotary.

Bruther, that sounds like the most plausible thing, actually.

Don't worry, there's still nothing as filthy (or loud) as a cat-less Wankel 👍

Yes, that's carbon build up. There's a messy solution to getting rid of it that requires a vacuum hose and a quart of ATF. I'd suggest doing it at night on a windy day b/c there will be smoke everywhere. Not sure if SeaFoam would work. Marvel Mystery Oil probably will, and since you own a rotary - you probably have a few bottles laying around anyway.

In my mind, I'd like to hope that it is an SVO revival. A 300+ BHP EcoBoost 2.0L would be awesome, frankly. Especially if the SVT boys are doing the chassis tune.

Its really kind of hard to see where a turbo V6 or 4 would fit into the Mustang line. Anything in between the V6 and 5.0 would be pretty redundant, so it makes sense that this is either above the GT or below the V6. 300hp turbo 4 would be cool but the typical consumer probably isn't going to see the difference. And why would they want to sacrifice sales of the brand new V6?

I'm gonna say its a $20k or less 200hp turbo4 model.

its definitly going to be the v6 a fourbanger wouldnt make much sense considering the taurus has a ttv6 setup already

Since this is a mustang thread does anyone know how many mustangs are gonna be on gt5?

That would be a GT5 forum question. And none of us work at PD, so the answer would also be no.

In everything I've read about this, a lot of people think it's just a test mule for the final tweaks on the BOSS. The instrument cluster is ripped out of the BOSS, and the big premium only sticker in the middle matches the BOSS also.

While I think it'd be cool to throw in a turbo 4 for the Mustang, where's it going to fit? The Base V6 starts at about $21k I believe. There's just not any room under that right now to slot in a new model.

That being said, put that 2.0TT in the fiesta, focus and whatever else, bring down the costs, and then one could make an argument for it's inclusion with the 2014 redesign

You guys are making out as though a 4cyl Mustang would be one hundred times better than the V6, in stock form possibly. I'd still buy the V6 and turbocharge it instead. :p

The big thing with a turbo four is that factory turbo cars respond to mods like nobody's business.

have any of you all tuned out your mustangs on the game yet the GT is somewhat of a pig to start but now that I have lightened it and got some serious power its rather fun and predictable.

Are you still talking about Gran Turismo? Because that's not what this thread is about.

It's a dealbreaker for me that the Boss 302 doesn't come in kona blue with black graphics. Whoever though white on blue was a good idea is a freaking IDIOT. Black on blue is desperately needed.

Agreed. I just tried to build one and it wouldn't let me. :(

It has just managed to beat an Audi R8?

Impressive, and what a noise it makes.

It's punching well above its price range here 👍

So...it beats a GT-R. Nice. I knew this thing was awesome but wow. Screw you Shelby.

So, it beats GT-R.. BARELY. Once the 2012 GT-R will be run there, Boss 'stang will be back there where it belongs.

The 08 GT-R is slower than the current model GT-R, so not quite a fair comparison. However, that's an amazing mustang.

If you look at the Power/Weight numbers, the two are fairly close. But yet, I do agree that a '12 is probably much faster.

I find it more appealing that the Boss is only .1xx slower than the 997 Turbo S.

Edit: I got confused, you were comparing the two GT-R's. my power/weight thing above is for the '08 GT-R and the Boss.
