They even dared to put a comment under the video saying that he had a camera failure, and they cut away because of that.

But as I understand it the onboard is available for the full lap on the F1TV streams.

Edit: This is actually false. His other lap is available, but his camera did indeed cut out on the pole lap there as well.
Maybe he needed to recharge the camera too.

Crash on the out lap in Australia. Electrical gremlins in China. What will keep Piastri from starting today, I wonder? :nervous:

Wow they just showed the reason for the delay. Porsche Cup race had a car go over the fence at 200R.

Love the wheel styles of all the cars.

BOT on hards, everyone else on mediums.

Did... did Piastri just jump em all? 😮

Well Well Well.
McLaren doing something unseen

Piastri immediately mogs 1st place from Mercedes!

So Mercedes decided to install anchors?

C'mon, Charles... fight George so Oscar can run away. 😑

edit: Nice, Charles. Keep Kimi behind you while Oscar walks away from George. 😤

Well....the race in the biggest test of the new rules so far is providing interest at least.

“UNBELIEVABLE!” Said Russell calmly.

Got the sound down. Why did he slow down so much?

Colapinto drifted in front of Bearman at almost the last moment before entering Spoon. Looks like Ollie had to go evasive and had nowhere else to go.

Edit:

F1: Multi-million dollar sport that makes 20+ stops a year and has some of the most insane logistics the world has ever seen.

Also F1: "You guys need supplies to clean debris off the track? Best I can do is a bunch of straw brooms from your granny's closet."

These whispy brooms the marshals are using got a laugh out of me. I wonder why they chose them.

Looked like Bearman had a lot of battery deployment, while Colapinto was recharging.
The first big crash caused by the new regulations.

Though Colapinto moving a bit to the outside didn't help.

I actually don't mind Kimi being WDC in 2026, for whatever reason.

No further investigation on the incident between Bearman and Colapinto.

There's a part of me that can't help but wonder if the FIA feels can't really penalize Colapinto because a big component of the wreck was the difference in speed caused by the new engine regs.
