On one hand, I would really prefer for Oscar to win the race, if for no other reason than to massively make up for his bad luck in the first 2 races.

On the other, it would be pretty freakin' cool to see Kimi's first 2 wins in his career to be back-to-back. I can only imagine how he'd react, considering he literally cried in China.

Either way, I'd be very happy with this Top-3 being the final result.

The current standings would also make Antonelli the youngest ever championship leader if I'm not mistaken, beating the record by a few years.

Push too hard? Get penalized.
Actually want to race? Get penalized.
Racing normally? Get penalized by superclipping.

Just bin all of this trash for 2027. The whole formula. Start over again.

I'm definitely not wishing for Max to be done with the sport in its current state, but I doubt this result has inspired him to gain back some hope.

All in all deserved win for Kimi. I like that he acknowledged he got a bit lucky.

It's very strange. They did a fantastic job with the cars and the aero rules, but the PU regulations are horrible.

They ****ing finally figured out how to make the cars look exciting and follow in corners and fumble it with the PU because....manufacturers or something.
 
Wasn't expecting those results.

Fortuitous win by Kimi. He's gotta be pretty stoked. Second winn in a row, and leading the WDC by a bit.

Though Oscar's pace gives me hope for a decent season, McLaren has a lot of work to do. Still, I'm pretty happy with their podium and double points haul. Time to chip away at Ferrari in the WCC.

Glad Charles held off George.

So Leclerc and Hamilton did touch. Really lucky for that not ending in a crash or at least a puncture.

Red Bull is behind Haas and Alpine in the championship...

Let's see what teams can do in terms of development in the next 5 weeks. But I fear that it's just gonna end with Mercedes getting out of the break with an even bigger advantage.
 
So 2 more races before Mercedes must nerf it's advantage of the heated coil-thingies, right? What is that 15hp?

To be fair, without the changes to the PU, we wouldn't have Audi, Ford or Honda.

Yes the PU regulations are terrible, I say I'd reserve judgement until the first 3 races had been completed and we're there now. And I agree with all above, the cars look fantastic, they can actually follow, like, properly, for extended periods of time, but the engine rules are harming the spectacle in a way that simply isn't acceptable for ANY Motorsport, nevermind F1.

Question is, what can they actually do about it mid season? Is it feasible to increase the ICE output and decrease the battery output? How much power did the ICE component make before? 800bhp or something? Can these new ones get to that power figure without issue? Cut the battery output back down to 200bhp, 250 on boost but keep the capacity?

Let's hope they figure something out.

Just watched the replay of the entire race on F1TV. The words I kept hearing (some repeatedly) throughout the race from Alex and Jolyon were; battery, megajoule, battery pack, battery deployment, battery depletion, battery managment, harvesting. I might have forgotten some but if they wouldn’t have mentioned the drivers’ names and I closed my eyes just listening to the commentary, you could fool me this being a Formula E race.
