After 21/23 initially planned races, we finally reach the end of the 2023 Formula 1 Season. The Yas Marina circuit has been the circuit to host the most season finales in F1 history now, and as a venue it certainly lives up to that record - even if the layout itself is pretty abominable. A redesign in 2021 certainly alleviated some of the issues with the track. The biggest issue with this weekend is likely to be the jetlag everyone will feel, coming a week later after the late night Las Vegas race week. There are a few minor positions in the championships still to be settled, so who will come out on top at the ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX!

Back in good form and with the long straights at Yas Marina I have a feeling Ferrari will have good chances getting those 4 points more than Mercedes and snatching P2 in the last second.

Ah yes, the forgettable season finale...

Would be nice is Las Vegas was the finale instead.
It might be in the future, hard to say.
Yas Marina does not offer much, Vegas offers stunning lights.

But the FIA cares more about money, question is.
Who is willing to pay MORE.

Vegas or the UAE.

Vegas has casino money, UAE has oil money.

Formula 1 PAID for Vegas.
Abu Dhabi gives Formula 1 $30 million extra as a season-finale payment.
I know which one I'd take.

Legal, but I can see them changing that. Correct me if I’m wrong but drivers have to move over now if they’re driving slowly in the pit. Pretty sure that was introduced because of Verstappen blocking the pit exit in Singapore, lol.

They've prohibited it now unless car ahead slows due to an obvious problem. Funny thing is after risking damage to car to get ahead, he got passed by George as he was about to start a lap due to slowing down.

It's just so useless. As if getting 10-20-30 seconds sooner out of pits would've made a difference in this shortened FP2-session. And for what if you are already WDD and WDC and even without running FP at all you're the potential race winner on sunday. It just makes the sport look bad and yourself childish first complaining about "pushers" and then yourself just not staying in line and only floods water on the mills for all your critics. Just a week after doing you and the sport no favour with criticism in a language from a ill-mannered teen. Verbalizing polite at the right time is not that hard for an adult...

Looking positive for George and Lando, hopefully Lewis can catch up for qualifying. Last chance to keep up record of at least a British driver or team winning a race each season since 1953.

Dang, costly bobble from Lando. I'm pushing for him and Oscar to make things interesting for the season finale. Gooooooooo!
