Heading into the last three rounds of the season, we start in Nevada for the first of the triple-header's races. The Las Vegas Strip circuit hosts it's third race, one more than Caesars Palace managed, mainly because the track is significantly better and the facilities suit the sport. Lando Norris has a 24 point lead as we head into the title deciders and has all the momentum currently, while Max Verstappen is still an outside shot. The colder weather may suit Mercedes and shake up the order for a bit so let's see who comes out on top at the LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX!

The one race of the year I will miss. The Mercs and Ferraris were strong last year, so hoping for a Kimi or Lewis win.

As did I - but now I'm old, grouchy and need my sleep.

A few special liveries this weekend

Haven't seen Vcarb's yet.

Oscar has a special helmet connected to his first championship as a kid:

Hopefully it brings him some luck - he needs it.

The trick is to stay up & not go to sleep until after the race....
No the trick is to get up at a more reasonable hour and watch the full race replay, preferably with a nice cup of tea and a bacon sandwich.

Lando about to tie DC as driver with most starts for McLaren (1 more victory to tie DC's 12 career wins as well). I know we have a lot more races now but that still seems weird. He's only 26.

Come to Australia! You'll miss basically every race

I'm so tired of these one-off liveries, they've gone from something truly novel or commemorative to just another part of the Attention Economy.

Yeah same, probably gets worse again when in NZ !!
American continent races are the worst timing for me, as the races are normally on Monday mornings and I get to work with the results being advertised all over the radio... I think everyone hates me because the first thing I do is turn the radio off so the results aren't spoiled.

Lewis was flying here last year, probably best opportunity left to get a podium this year on pure speed. If Red Bull brings upgrade to this race or later ones, might be difficult if both McLarens also are regularly on the podium too. This was only real race they struggled last year, will be interesting to see if they have resolved things or will struggle again.

Just hope Lando can keep getting solid points and get others out of the championship race as soon as possible so less risk of anything odd happening to lose it. Also will be good if Red Bull give Yuki a fast car and he can deliver a clean weekend, the media seem to want to get Yuki out even though he seems quite close to Max even with car deficits. Was funny Helmut Marko taking a cheap shot at Yuki for not being able to get out of Q1 for Sprint Qualifying writing him off but then even their Super Max couldn't for the main race which hopefully changed how they viewed things for Yuki's sake.

Might wake up in time for this because my sleep is horrible, but I won’t set an alarm.

Hoping for a Lewis podium & expecting a George win.

I record every European GP and watch them on my own time pretty much. Very rarely will I watch a race live these days.

I reeeeally hate having to avoid spoilers the next day though. Do we really need to spoil the race in youtube thumbnails? If youre watching the video, surely you already know the result...

Hard to read sessions. I think Charles might be the favorite for pole with the two Mercs behind him. Not sure if George or Kimi is faster between the two. Leaning towards George.
Also not sure if the McLarens or The RedBulls come after that.
Norris looked faster than Oscar again.

Are the McLarens struggling here....I know FP3 doesn't tell much but they seems off the pace compared to everyone else.

Well this was the right race weekend to be watching while in Japan. 1pm quali is lovely.

Proper wet circuit for Q1. The walls are going to be hungry I can see.

Well, lucky to not bin it but being 9 tenths up after the first two sectors it gave him plenty of space for a bit of wheelspin. Mega lap before that definitely.

That quali really showed McLaren’s pace. Once tyre grip faded, they were clearly ahead of everyone.

Just Lando tbh. And only in these specific conditions.

I’d be surprised if he can convert his pole into a win in the dry tomorrow. I see Max and George ahead of him.
He’ll take it I’m sure as long as he is ahead of Oscar.

It was disappointing that Yuki and Lewis couldn't survive Q1 especially given they looked the most competitive they have been in their respective teams, Yuki seemed to have couple of tenths on Max and Lewis seconds on Charles in FP3 in intermediate conditions. Hopefully they use opportunity to take new spicy power units so gives them best chance to recover and not mess up setup.

At least Laurent publicly apologised to Yuki saying they made mistake with the tyre pressures and setting. That is all well and good but puts even more pressure on Yuki to have a strong race given he is running out of races to make an impression before decision is made. This might be his last real chance.

Will be an interesting race with Kimi also starting towards the back, they all have cars that should have front running pace. It was good to see Lando get pole again but not sure how safe it is for him with Max starting behind, needs to nail start and drive away as quickly as possible. Max still has a good chance of finishing second in driver's championship, he will probably still fully send it even if he gets half a chance though.

I'm so glad ESPN is losing the contract for F1 in the US. I got up this morning to watch the practice and qualifying replays. Watched P1 then went to P2 and it was Spanish only, no English replay, P3 has an English replay, but qualifying is Spanish only. This isn't the first time it's happened. Whoever the idiot is at ESPN that is in charge of loading up the replays for the website has no idea what they are doing.
