The Sprint Race weekends come thick and fast as Montreal hosts a Sprint for the first time. The circuit, traditionally heavy on braking, should be one of the best suited layouts for the 2026 regulations, with the changes made during the war break seeming to improve some of the worst aspects of the current ruleset. Miami was a pretty chaotic and topsy-turvy race that showed we still have 4 different manufacturers in the fight for wins - even if Mercedes have won all 4 Grand Prix so far. This race has been moved forward to May to make it slightly better logistically with the Miami Grand Prix, but there are fears that Montreal's climate may still not be ideal for a Grand Prix outside of June or July. Will anything as drastic as snow appear? We will only find out at the CANADIAN GRAND PRIX!

As of now, light rain chance on Sunday and temperatures will be around 70F for the race.

Still shaking my head that they decided to move away from Monaco for this weekend in particular.
 
McLaren looked poor in FP1, but did well enough in Sprint Qualifying to put them on the second row tomorrow, with two slow starting Mercs in front, and two rocket starting Ferraris behind them. Should be a treat. 😮

I thought Ferrari would've been more of a threat.

Not sure if Kimi is raging about his second pass attempt at turn 8 but that was way too ambitious.
 
I know it's only Q2 but hadjar and Lewis top times....hadjar first in the 1.12 too....that's interesting!
 
Tight Qualifying. I wonder if Kimi holds grudges.
 
I thought the margin was going to be much bigger considering the gap the Mercedes had during sprint qualy and the sprint it self...it's much closer that I thought.
 
If anyone has any legitimate reason George wasn't punished by the stewards for running off Kimi I'm interested. Only because I'm trying to see if I can keep up with the terrible rules of engagement.

People say "Max/Lando at Austin" but there Max gave up making the corner so that he hit the apex first. A garbage move, but manipulated how the rules were written. This time George was behind on entry, apex and the start of the exit, but got a better launch and just ran Kimi off after he got ahead. So why didn't it even get investigated?

None of that alters Kimi losing his mind the rest of the Sprint. Immaturity showing there
 
Well this will be an interesting opening stint. Doesn't seem like Inters is the right call here but we'll see how it works out

Cluster of a start, but appropriate decision in the name of safety if it was to help get Lindblad off the grid.

McLaren has hired Ferraris Strategists
Pitting after 1 lap instead of starting from pitlane where Oscar could at least be close to the back of the back at the end of lap 1
 
Not sure how McLaren's going to recover.

Hope Lewis finds more pace.
