To be honest, the Overtake mode that the cars currently have should be the ticket that unlocks a few chances for an Overtake, as it makes the car following naturally faster in every acceleration zone if they're in that 1 second gap. Cars usually follow close around Monaco, so we could see mistakes from drivers pushing to make that 1s gap instead of backing the pack up.

Monaco deserves a special qualifying session. I’d scrap FP3 and turn it into pre-qualifying (same format at current qualifying) with qualifying being a single lap shootout, where drivers leave the pits in reverse order of pre-qualifying i.e. slowest out first, fastest out last

I’d scrap the race and have some form of qualifying shoot out on Sundays. Two drivers go up against each other and the winner moves up to the next round or something.

Bortoleto stalled his car just after pitlane exit. His team is not allowed to help as it's outside the pitlane. Unlikely that he'll make the start

Even considering the pace gaps this year I didn't have Monaco imitating the N24 on my bingo card... how many laps down are the backmarkers going to be at the end?

At this rate it may be as much as 5 laps 😮
It probably looks a bit worse than it is due to some early pitstops though

Looks like Lewis is chipping away at Kimis lead. Gap is down to 3 seconds between 1st and 2nd.

The most intense battle going on right now is me fighting sleep.
Monaco delivers as per usual.

Pit Hamilton earlier, back Leclerc up into Antonelli if Merc pit to cover him off... although Kimi has had so much pace they could well have ignored it anyway.
They would definitely ignore it. They knew they were close to getting a big enough gap for a free pitstop anyway. There was no need at all to respond.

Welp, that plan from Williams looks to have backfired...
Yeah Albon messed that up. Part of me likes this because all this backing up nonsense really emphasises how stupid Monaco is.
