Round 10 of the season takes F1 to an absolute classic layout in the Ardennes. Spa-Francorchamps, with some of the most iconic corners in the world, is a drivers' and fans' favourite circuit, although like at Silverstone may be a bit difficult for the current regulation cars. The season is hotting up, as Leclerc's win at Silverstone now means we have had 4 race winners this season as Ferrari shows it can bring the fight to Mercedes. Upgrades will be appearing soon, especially for Aston Martin, who's claim that they have a mega massive upgrade for Hungary means this should (they hope) be the last round of the drivers turning full lock in high-speed corners out of frustration. How will the cars fare at the BELGIAN GRAND PRIX!

Best race in calendar, on the best track!

But there is some pretty extreme weather prognosis for the weekend, hope so FIA won't delay sessions, though let the drivers to do what they do best...

At this point the FIA think the wetter the better, so the cars have some battery left after getting through Eau Rouge.

Best track? Potentially. Best race? Hasn't been for a while.

If it prevents another "classic" overtake like that seen on the Hanger straight I'm doing my rain dance.

New engine for Hadjar - starts from the back. Max probably relieved that he won't get beaten by his teammate.
10 place grid penalty for Norris - taking a 4th power electronics unit (1 over the season limit).
Red Bull are ditching their spinning rear wing.

Lewis just had exactly the same crash as Gasly yesterday.
Yeah, saw that. Makes me wonder if these cars are having a hard time there. I wonder what the lap sector times say across the cars vs. previous regulations.

That said, YAY, SPA. I took one of my favorite photos here in 2019, standing on the Kemmel Straight.

RedBull using Hadjar to give Verstappen a slipstream through S3 only for Antonelli to smash him by 3 tenths without a tow is kind of insane.

I know the Aston Martins are contractually obligated to show up, but this is just pathetic--how does a BRAND NEW TEAM lap Spa faster? How could they even allow this to happen?

The upgrade they have for Hungary better be so fast that Nando can still win the title after winning every race from here on out :sly:

Lewis looked quite fast so far this weekend, hopefully it translates into the race and he can get on the podium and maybe even the win. He just needs to hang in there until they get the power unit and car upgrade which could help turbocharge him to his eighth title if it is sufficient enough.

Looks hopeful that even with Mercedes bringing an upgrade for straight-line speed, they are still close to George on a circuit like this. I know Mercedes will be bringing even more upgrades in the next couple of races but hopefully the likes of McLaren and Ferrari have an answer to them especially for their bigger upgrade after the summer break. If Mercedes can fix George's straight-line speed problem then it would be good for the championship if he can start taking points off Kimi too through pure speed.

It's been mooted as a MAJOR upgrade but considering the gap today I can only think it'll draw them back level with Cadillac at best... bearing in mind how established AM are it's absolutely making the list as one of the worst F1 cars of all time.

And lights out and away we go!

Oh no! Russel out, Blimey!

Saintz tagged Ocon, which is why Ocon got damage on his car

Geeze why do some drivers who are starting first drive so quickly during the formation lap.
They will be just sitting there for a minute, letting the tires cool down and let the engine cook.
