Off-topic but kinda reminds me of SpongeBob saying "Maximum Power!!" when he tried to clean the dish in one episode.
I am reminded of when Homer changed his name to Max Power because he got it off a hair dryer.

Alright, back on track. Antonelli vs Charlotte Flair Leclerc had a intense race battle like Lewis vs the other Kimi, Raikkonen back in 2008
-
Antonelli had 2 strike for track limit, if he went off-track one more time, it gonna cost him a win.
-
Kimi Antonelli wins the Belgian GP after 3 races droughts!

Good for Kimi, bad for the championship. They completely ignored to show bits of that hard internal fight at VCARB. Best track on the calendar but again doesn't translate to a good race :boggled:

Just caught up on the race and, uh, what the hell was that 5-second penalty for Lewis on lap 1? And how on Earth did Charles not get a penalty for the move he pulled on Piastri that resulted in damage?

Of course, the obvious conclusion is and always has been that decisions are made based on the end result and nothing else, which isn't supposed to be the case. Spa isn't typically meh, but this race was. For me, anyway.

One thing I've taken from this race is Ferrari has no more excuses for this championship this year. They may not be outright the fastest (clearly Mercedes is) but their car is just about working everywhere. They have shown really strong pace just about on any type of tracks now. Before that it was just slow and medium speed tracks but as we've seen from Silverstone and now Spa, they can clearly be in the fight for win even on high speed tracks too. They better not let Kimi run away with it especially since Russell is not firing on all cylinders now.

It will be interesting to see how Lewis bounces back next week. Hungaroring is one of his stronger tracks & he's got an equally stronger car under neath him again. If my stats are right, I believe last year has been his worst year finishing 12th & the remaining years were a podium or just outside it (2017, 2023) in the last decade.

These engines are just not fit for purpose. Horrific.
It's not just the spectacle/racing.

Russell is struggling and the team don't know the problem. Could a PU change fix this:

Is it some sort of difference in harvesting?

He would have been on pole in 1992 though, half a second faster than Mansell in the FW14B. Nevermind the fact the track was very different back then.
I don't know. Aston Martin may be confused to hit a 34 year time warp that they may lose some seconds on the track.

And how on Earth did Charles not get a penalty for the move he pulled on Piastri that resulted in damage?
Well it is confusing... However, considering the penalty Piastri copped in Brazil last year, I'm kind of glad they didn't give him a penalty for avoidable contact... Fl stewards continue to put on a clown show.
