A few laps behind SC will make it better, assuming there is even a slight breeze to help blow water away.

That is the thing, the risk is too high.
If anything he wants Max in 2nd so Norris has to try and get past Max, 25pts in 1st, 15pts for 3rd.

Every pt matters for the WDC.

McLarens are so quick, Oscar's still got a podium finish coming his way. As others have said, Max was struggling, there was zero reason to gamble that.
 
We missed an action juste before the Safety Car that turned a Ocon-Hamilton-Gasly to a Gasly-Ocon-Hamilton. :grumpy:

I mean, he might pull ahead of Norris by 10 seconds making the penalty 100% worth it in terms of strategy, but it shouldn't be allowed.
