(The following statement is huge on bias and opinion stated as fact) The absolute best Grand Prix and circuit on the calendar is upon us as Formula 1 heads back to the circuit where the series made it's very first race. Silverstone is still on the calendar as the sport reaches its 75th anniversary. It's quite fitting then that one of the historic teams on the grid - McLaren is romping away with it this season, as the battle between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri continues. At Oscar's home GP, Lando had the advantage and took the win while Oscar spun off and had to battle back to the lower reaches of the points. He will hope to repay the favour here at Norris's home GP. Lewis Hamilton is on an 11 race streak of podiums at his Home GP, will he manage to get his first Podium for Ferrari this time out? We will only find out at the BRITISH GRAND PRIX!!!

Norris was seriously impressive in Austria and will definitely be pushing hard at his home GP. Hamilton looked much better too after the floor upgrade, and Russell has been quietly racking up strong results all season. Given their current form, a couple of Brits on the podium this weekend looks a real possibility.

Silverstone always brings great racing, but there is also a lot going on away from the track. From live music and driver Q&As to racing games, family activities, and food stalls, the fan experience this year looks packed. If you are attending, here is a useful guide that covers all the key fan zones and events at the British GP. Thankfully, the weather prediction doesn't look bad and fans can expect a better weather than the Austrian GP and can enjoy their time without bearing very high temperatures.

Which of the British drivers you think will finish the highest this weekend?

It would probably take a bit of precipitation for Hamilton to get win #10 (and if he does they should name the whole track after him, not just a straight). I've been doing my rain dance and so far the gods appear to be listening.

I hope Lewis will be able to keep his podium streak going at Silverstone cause that is one impressive record. If he manages to win it, even if I think that probability is slim to none, I'd be even more impressed considering the performance of the car.

Really looking forward to this race. Always a fun one to watch. I love the track, real shame that we don't have it in GT7.

Forecast is looking like it'll be cloudy and cool on Saturday and Sunday, so the lower temps will move into Mercedes territory. However they'll spend the whole race having to deal with a McLaren that seemed to be immune to dirty air-induced tyre wear so as long as McLaren don't disappear into the distance it could be a fascinating battle at the front like Canada was.

Hamilton has a magic touch at Silverstone but he'll need, funnily enough, the McLarens to pull a Spain 2016 to have a hope of winning.

That or their Mercedes engine to face some reliability issues like we've seen at Aston, Williams and Mercedes themselves so far this year 😅

Plus for Ferrari to acquire McLaren strategists for the day and ban their own from the track.

Not sure McLaren strategists are the ones you want to borrow. The current car’s speed covers up some of the old lingering issues.

Ferrari looking good indeed - RB looks to be nowhere.

Hoping for something special from Lewis this weekend.

I missed the first session and just saw the timing sheet...now I'm looking forward to FP2. Hopefully the performance stays there and Lewis can pull something out of the bag this weekend cause God knows he needs it for his Ferrari career 😏

It's only FP1/2 but this looks quite interesting this weekend doesn't it. McLaren certainly don't look dominant so far - there or thereabouts but just one of that front pack with Ferrari and Mercedes, with Hamilton looking like he's on a mission this weekend too. Red Bull look awful but we've seen them pull it around from free practise so many times they might well end up in the mix.

Wow, Ferrari are genuinely in it this weekend.
I expected more from Mercedes and they don't seem to have the pace at all despite the cooler temperatures. As every pundit say, don't count Max out so I guess game on for tomorrow and Sunday.

Interesting final session. This is wide open. Both Ferraris, Russell and Verstappen all have a shot at beating the McLarens.

Bearman gets a 10 place grid penalty and 4 licence points for a red flag infringement. He slowed for the in-lap under reds and then sped up to do a practice race speed entry into the pits. May have got away with it if he hadn’t crashed.

Up to 8 points now. Not good. Starting to get Mick vibes about him, wonder if Haas are having flashbacks.

Let’s go Lewis!

Just dump Franco already.

Hamilton's gonna get knocked out of Q1, isn't he?

Edit: Oh, thank God. Ferrari, what the ****.

Lucky for Ferrari he survived. They might’ve had 150,000 angry Brits banging on the garage door.

Except for Clobberpinto, the whole grid covered by 0.7s in Q1...

I genuinely don't get how this team operates. It's actually amazing how they always find some new way to do something ridiculous.

If it doesn’t rain tomorrow Max is going to fly past everyone.

What have Ferrari done to the setup? They’re going backwards from all the practice sessions.

EDIT - That’s better.
