And of course Ferrari pit Leclerc for the fastest lap, only for Alonso to make the overtake.

If Leclerc doesn't get back past Alonso and take fastest lap, bwuhahahaha.

What the heck Ferrari.

Ferrari: Let's pit for FL
Also Ferrari: We'll put 2 points in jeopardy for 1 extra point.

Might have ended well, but still a very questionable call.

"Winning the Belgian Grand Prix for the second year in a row"

I mean, technically true, but come on Crofty.

And Ferrari didn't even get the fast lap. What a joke of a team. That's two titles Max gets served to him on a silver platter.

Congrats to Max, must feel so good to have such a dominate race. Badass

Ferrari: There's nothing we need to change.

Leclerc speeded in pitlane!
Will lose the place most likely

That was about as dismal as it gets.

Ferrari and Leclerc are just not a good pair.

5 second penalty for Leclerc, so great gamble on the fastest lap.

So Alonso/Hamilton was only the second biggest car crash at Spa this weekend then...

"Please do not swear" on the screen in the cooldown room

Max "Deg is high here isn't it"
Carlos "For you, no"

BBC's result screen delivers cutting opinion on how much of a race that was:

Feels like they are rewarding Ferrari for their stupidity and as the same time, penalizing Albon out of spite.

Always fascinating to see how the backends of some big sites work. So BBC somewhere have {Belgium: half points} hard coded from last year that they forgot to remove which has automatically applied this year.

Looking at the standings now, Perez is now #2 with Max having a 93 point lead so yeah, this season is done with Max and Red Bull as the clear winner.

The potential entertainment left now for the remaining races is whether or not Mercedes can beat Ferrari to P2 in the constructors cause right now their drivers are within a reasonable gap. George is only 16 points behind Charles and 1 point behind Sainz.

There's also a battle for 4th in the constructors with Alpine and McLaren.
