Add weight distribution as a setup option starting with race #2?

Just realized I haven't made a helmet template yet. Will try and attempt to get that out by Saturday seeing as how I'll have no time today to do it.

Scouting Report
  • Jahgee1124's car suffered from severe understeer
  • swiftsmith's car suffered from severe understeer, going off course at the hairpin every lap
  • Harsk100's car was extremely unstable entering corners, going off course at turn 6 and the hairpin. The car also was bottoming out badly, shooting sparks all the way down the two long straights.
  • DCybertron, Earth, MadFlavour, RACECAR, Goofytyler, and Frizbe did not participate in the test
  • Unfortunately, due to a computer corruption error lap results have been lost. However split times were saved in order to generate an 'ideal' lap.

Well this is not going great for me so far in testing but I will stick with Ferrari even if I struggle I will put up a fight.

Well, it looks like we actually hit the bullseye in what we thought our problems were, we shaved off a little bit more than 1.5 seconds and stand in third place, now we need to make the corresponding improvements to try and make it to the top, everything was going fine all the day, our driver was not reporting the problems he reported the other session day, we're on the right path.

I'd like to congratulate @Peasantslayer and @pezzarinho17 for their great work we have shown today with a Honda engine 1-2-3 and @Gerarghini for coming close in 5th place, also with a Honda engine.
 
Damn didn't get notified again! Anyway can't we get some details on the car? Specifically what the weight distribution is?
 
Why wasn't I able to test?
If I finish the testing sessions with only two laps then I might as well just throw a random tune out this season.
 
I'm thinking if you don't submit a setup, you don't test. Not sure why but given that I too was in the same position, that's my guess.
 
Ouch. I thought it would be the same as the races - If you don't send a new tune the last one will be used. I'll keep that in mind.
 
Yeah I was in the same position I was actually getting on top send in a new setup but saw the new results without me in them oops.

Its my fault for not stating the testing rules in the conversations. Sorry about that. Theres still Day 3 and Australia free practice to help come to grip with the new cars before theres any serious racing

Everyone who submitted a car did a fantastic job. All these liveries are top notch. Outstanding pieces of art.

Wow the whole deal with Ferrari didnt last long lol. Yes I can set you up with Porsche for the Day 3 test

I can tweak the performance balance between the 3 engines after testing but before the season starts. But so far Im not seeing any unfair advantage. If there is any performance balancing it will be minor.

Its actually worse then that, the default cars are dalmatian colored

Weight distribution is 44:56

Its adjustable. Should I add it to the settings? I believe the range is 42:58 to 46:54

Shouldnt be too hard once you make a final decision before practice at Australia

Speaking of Australia, because it is the opening round, qualifying will be recorded and uploaded along with the race

Swift Autosport Breaking News​

After 2 rough days of testing & 2 days of angry phone calls from Ferrari they have pulled all funding from the Swift Autosport #50. Shortly after the phone call with driver/owner S. Smith he shut the team garage & talked with the team. We were given a statement from Smith prior to the team meeting & here's what he had to say:

"As of right now we are here & we did buy an extra engine from a Porsche team that was going to be secretly tested on Friday but after the phone call I just got an hour ago from Ferrari owner M. Mattiacci they will no longer be supplying us engines, & chassis. We have another chassis on its way from the Porsche people. Before I go break the news to the team I wanna thank D. Cyber (@DCybertron) for selling us the engine. Well I gotta go explain to my team what's going on."

Smith later let us come get a good picture of the engine that was bought from another team in the garage. Here it is ladies, & gentlemen:

Well 46:52 would be rather odd I'd think. :p
But yeah I think that should be something we should be able to play with.

In Today's News: Helmet Livery and Updated Body

Unexpected announcement incoming! Anyways, I actually kept my word this time and didn't slack off. Therefore I will present my helmet livery tonight. It was a Paint in the 🤬 because for some odd reason the template (or something concerning what I did to it) lagged GIMP so bad when zooming in and scaling that I didn't want to do any complex things with it. To think that my main body template was as smooth as butter left much to be desired. Anyways like last time, they will be under a spoiler for condensing reasons.

For some reason I didn't know or didn't get how some of you guys got definitive boarders in your helmet designs. It was still fine as I could work off the wire frame.

Additionally I made some small updates to the body template. Just added a Honda banner on the wing and illest logos on the mirrors. It's final from here on out; I won't pull a @AJHG1000 (Sorry bro, I know why you had to :lol:)

Scouting Report:
  • optiongamers became the first victim of an engine failure. The team knew something was wrong when the car only clocked 275kph in the speed trap before pulling over to the side of the track and coming to a stop. Its not clear if his session slow trap speed of 290kph was the result of the car's setup or an engine going sour from the get go.
  • Harsk100 again suffered from severe understeer. The car almost went off at every corner.
  • Gerarghini's car was extremely unstable entering tight corners, resulting in a spin most of the time. DCybertron tried to avoid a spinning Gerarghini but instead lost control as well, sliding into and destroying Gerarghini's left rear suspension. DCybertron had to pit to replace the front wing and was able to continue.
  • RACECAR suffered from severe instability entering corners. The oversteer condition led to several offs seemingly every lap.

:( I thought my setup would be good for this test... But oversteer & understeer!!!! So disappointed!!!! :mad::banghead:
 
Looks like the new setup didn't help, lol I went backwards.

Back to the paddock I guess.
