Exact same looking for good results but just struggling to get them. I am just going to look ahead to the first race in Australia now and see if my bad luck can change.
And I'm also struggling... What should I do get 3rd place at least?

Beat me, haha! :P

In all seriousness, if you have problems with understeer, you don't want to go all the way to the other side (oversteer) and vice-versa, what you want to do is to equilibrate the setup, know the track, if it's hilly or plain and adjust your Spring Rates, Ride Height and Packers with what you know about the track, that's what I did and it pretty much worked well :D

And remember that certain engines will perform better than others in a track or another

Another 1-2-3 for Honda :D:tup:

You just need a perfect setup for the track thats all I can say. It's really difficult but if you do it right you can get good results.
Does anyone know an perfect setup for Ferrari? Sharing setups aren't allowed. But if you have an link, please put a link by using GTPlanet conversation facility... I thought that Ferrari was the fastest F1....

It is but it also says it is the heaviest engine, the engine itself will give you an advantage in tracks like Monza, Fuji, Hockenheim and Spa, but it'll struggle to keep up in Monaco.

As for the setup, you have to build it yourself, because no one shares their setup in rFactor I'm afraid.

I think I inadvertently took off too much rear grip, causing me to spin. That what I noticed when I changed the setup.

Wow, I do some research, make wholesale chnages and im still slower than my day 1 put together off the top of my head setup. Oh well, i look to still be in touch with the leaders for 'Straya.

@Earth Could we see a portion of a stint from a base car? so we at least have an idea of how fast the tyres degrade and whether or not it is linear because I wouldn't want to pick a 1 stop strategy to find I'm 5 seconds a lap slower for the last 10 laps for example.

That's what I'm afraid of.

I quite like the unknown, but team's would have tested race simulations in Jerez... I'll go with either decision on this one!

I'd like their to be some unknowns to but we have absolutely no idea how the tyres will behave, if we don't get any tyre data I'll probably play it safe or will I? ;)

2 stop for me I hate seeing guys try to make it one in real life. Figure this will let me run hard at the end too

I am going for a risk and I am going to do one stop to see how things do because:

Look out everyone, I educated myself on F1 setups so I should take pole position by +1 hour if calculations serves me correct.

Also, I'm gonna go with 2 stops. Said it in the PM but looking at the discussion, 2 stops is definetly the preferred option.
