Was planning something for the British GP, and just saw that there isn't one! 2 races in Germany and Italy though... :(
 
Was qualifying supposed to be today if the race is tomorrow? Or is the OP outdated @Earth?

Also, is it possible you can put pics of our cars in the OP too? Like last season?

Qualifying and the race happen together. I cant separate them unfortunately. If somebody knows a program that allows me to choose the starting grid (so I can run qualifying and the race separately) it would help alot. That way people can make strategy calls with the help of knowing where they qualified.

The actual race (qualifying too) is set to run in exactly 60 minutes from me typing this

I'll add pics of the cars in time

Edit: Think I found a program that will allow me to customize the starting grid so we can have qualifying and the race on separate days

I'm trying to complete and send a finished race livery to you before you start. Hopefully, it should be done before then.

The times seem much quicker, do we use softer tyres for quali or do the AI try harder? optiongamers looked a bit off the pace up until now, he pulled a Red Bull on us.

Its the same tires, just in qualifying the AI comes out of the pits with just enough fuel for 1 fast lap. And they do try very hard, their line is almost always perfect in qualifying. Sometimes they come back out of the pits for another low fuel run, most of the time they come back out with a full tank and turn slow laps for the rest of the session.

Sorry, but maybe next race. This race is already finished and Im in the process of editing it and uploading it. After this round I'll download the custom grid program and see if I can get it working so people can change their setup or pit strategy after qualifying.
 
Well, at least I'm now ~1 second off the leader's times and not super far off like last time, so the setup did it's purpose. Not as good as I hoped but way better than in practice :D. Can't wait to see the upcoming race 👍

My evil plan stay off pace in pre season and then pick up the pace when the season starts worked.


In all seriousness very happy with pole and hope the race goes good. I think I have got use to making the car better since we are using fresh new cars compared to last season and it just took a bit of time to get use to the car.
 
Think I'm screwed this season. I'm just too afraid to make any sort of setup changes after the crappy progress in practice.
 
That's how I felt last season but I think I will go for broke and just throw random setups at the thing and see what happens.
 
I added a bit more DF from practice which probably wasn't needed with the low fuel of quali, hopefully it helps with tyre wear though and doesn't make me too much of a sitting duck on the straights.

Yes I did then I got suck behind some ones car and it span out making my car go right into it making me DNF.

woooo, had quite a bit of luck there avoiding all the carnage, although i'm kinda pissed that i didn't have a proper livery done now :D
