Great race. Great win for Vettel. Excellent defence. Strong race from Hamilton. Button finally makes a three stopper work! Webber Oh dear me! Everyone else lapped.

Great job by Button to make up for that bad start. Terrific job by Heidfeld, to get up into 8th from 24th.

Great work by Alonso, too bad the Ferrari was so bad today... thanks to that wing disqualification Friday... But man, can that man drive a car.

Amazing driving by Hamilton. Never mind the fact that the RBR had KERS issues, that was incredible work preserving the tires on the first few stints, and that was incredible driving to keep up with Vettel through traffic.

But seriously... How can you say anything bad about Vettel after this? Excellent maneuvering in the first lap. Excellent overtaking for position between pit stops to maximize his advantage. Excellent defense, especially that last bit where he tried to squeeze Hamilton behind Karthikayen. He drove the nuts off that car, and he deserves that win, definitely.

Very entertaining race, surprisingly for Catalunya. I honestly didn't mind who won as long as it wasn't Alonso. Massa was woeful as (annoyingly) usual. Vettel doing the crazy frog and Fred Flintstone at the end: hmmm :lol: At least the lad has character.

Yep. Downpour all race weekend, so the drivers have to finish the race on options :trouble:

Everything went on as expected, a quite poor performance by Webber today, though.

I don't like Alonso but his talent is undeniable. He did a pretty good job driving such awful car.
 
I would like to see full wets being used on Monaco.

A tight street circut+rain=good race action with a possible chance of a saftey car.

Who knows how these tires act in the rain.

Do they have that large grip fall off, and who knows if their will be any risky moves.

And thanks to Vettle i now have that annoying Axel F Crazy frog song stuck in my head.
 
Webber, you disappoint me, albeit only slightly. I still love you though. :lol:

Great job for Hamilton (didn't I tell you he was suspicious?) and if only he had fresher rubber he'd definitely be on pole (that somewhat horrid pitstop didn't help either). To be honest I wasn't expecting to see Button on podium after that terrific start Alonso managed and with Webber in the way. Fantastic job for Seb, he really has improved since last season -- just as he should have, he's a champion. Don't know what happened to Massa (looks like he just went off) but I'm really hoping he can get himself back together and bring back that tenacity he had in Malaysia and China.

Despite this being an enjoyable race it still doesn't come close to what Sepang offered, or for that matter what Korea offered last season.
 
Degradation high for wet tyre would be an epic fail.
But still, don't know about the weather there. :boggled:

He said to our local TV that his gearbox failed, it just went into neutral and promptly refused to engage any other gear. Massa's biggest problem this year is lack of enthusiasm, as DiMontezemolo already said they'll be just honoring the contract, doesn't sound like a motivational speech does it?

Oh yeah, and kudos to Hamilton which honestly is my favourite F1 driver, his performance today just shown that if there is someone who might compete head to head with Vettel, Hamilton is this man.

Blah blah Vettel Bighead blah blah prat... So what... He's still a better driver than a whole big chunk of the field. Except maybe Hamilton and Alonso... Though none of the three are a patch on Kamui Kobayashi...

I really feel for Alonso. What a terrific start. Harkens back to the Renault days with his heroic low-fuel race starts. He was always going to have issues at the end of the race... Having used up more softs in qualifying than the Red Bulls and McLarens, he was always going to be handicapped in his last stint. Too bad he lost the lead in one of the middle stints, otherwise he might have been able to preserve a podium, at least.

Still, Alonso still has "it"... and he fully deserves his spot in the F1 Hall of Fame...

He's still a jerk, mind you. :lol:

So they all get twenty second penalties, which means... Status quo... They were all so far from anyone else. Well... Maybe Webber could lose a place to Alonso... :lol:

I really am getting a bit tired of the way it appears Ferrari is handling Massa. Yes, he's performing well below par and even farther below what he's capable of (lest not forget he'd be at least a one-time champion had Hamilton not snaked a few points away to take the lead and said title). Let us also not forget that up until Malaysia and China his accident took a toll on the guy; he just wouldn't push himself for jack. At this point it's like flip them (Ferrari) off and sign with Mercedes. Ross will manage you properly.
