Anyone know if the cars will just be added to the free section after purchasing the expansion (like the car packs)? Or will you still need to purchase them in game?

Just gotta wait and find out how much $20 equates to in pounds sterling English Brit money via the Microsoft "exchange rate". They can't put it on sale for more than twenty quid, right?

From past experience, they're quite cheeky and mark up the prices to be matched, even though they should actually be different due to the exchange rate (i.e. if something is $19.99, it will still be £19.99 on the UK store too).

That said, Storm Island was more sensibly priced at £17.99 or something which seems more accurate, so they may have amended their ways a bit.

Storm Island was very quickly discounted once they found out how low the accept rate was. I dont think they'll have that issue here.

Getting hard to sit around at my desk at work, I'm getting impatient thinking about that 996 GT3 around the Nurburgring. Or VIR. Or the 962. Or my couch.

I'm feeling sick all the sudden, should go home and relax. :sly:

Oh crap.

I've just been thinking that I might hold off on purchase because of the large amount of carryover from FM4. Now, @SPhilli911 reminded me that, unlike that game, we have a proper 'Ring to run them on.

Uh oh...

You're welcome! Time to enjoy the carryover cars the way they were meant to be enjoyed, out on a track. With proper driving physics too.

I never purchased the Porsche pack for Forza 4 so I might consider getting it for Forza 6. Especially as much as I love this game.

Porsches on the Nordschleife? This should be the first thing on anyone's mind after seeing the reveal. VIR looks good though. :D

The thing for me is that the amount of FM4 carryover is a sticking point. I expected some, but I didn't expect the only unknown genuinely new car to be the 718. The RS Spyder? Really?

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I'm far less concerned with the modern race cars than the general population over on the official boards seem to be. I'm excited for the stuff that will fit into C Class or lower, or older race cars. This pack covers the former fairly well – I wonder if the 550 will dominate again – but the lack of genuinely new stuff is disappointing. Especially because FH2 *did* have new metal.

Found this brilliance on the Facebook page:

Its just split off to be sold as DLC, stop kidding yourselves. Forza is the only racing game that doesnt get Porsches in the base title. Driveclub did, Assetto Corsa will, Gran Turismo does.

Can someone please direct me to the super-secret Porsches in those three titles? Not counting GT3's, uh, GT3.

I just hope now that FH3 will have Porsches at launch. A third Porsche expansion would be a bit of a piss take.

It's getting harder not to think this was all decided years ago with the FM4 pack, to just always charge for Porsche moving forward. Why bother coughing up the fees to get the cars in the game at launch, when the player base will happily hand over significant chunks of cash for the cars a few months in?

I sincerely hope it's not true and it's just how EA extort money from T10 for that sublicense.

Well if rumors are anything to go by, maybe the Porsche/ EA license really did expire in 2016 and Forza games going forward have Porsche included on day 1. At this point, even I am getting sick of paying for Porsche. Between FM4, FH2 and this, I paid about the price of a single full retail game.

It is somewhat disappointing that there is so many carry overs and so little actual new cars, but then again it is a guaranteed thing now with T10 when it comes to DLC.

The most puzzling thing to me is that VIR is only available to people who buy the Porsche pack. That is a strange move.

I see where you are coming from but great Porsches are great Porsches, new to the franchise or not. I also think it's safe to say that Forza Motorsport has never played better overall than it does now. It's a new experience.

I think i'll wait until someone confirm that here is indeed the 993 GT2 in the pack before i buy it.

I hope it's in because if it's not, then that's a real shame from T10.

Not bad, but I'm surprised by the lack of a 935, given all the Group 5 machines already in the game. Also bummed by no 917, 928 and early non-Turbo 911. Part of me is even a bit sad there's no Panamera!

Oh well, I'll probably still pick it up and enjoy it.
