It is somewhat disappointing that there is so many carry overs and so little actual new cars, but then again it is a guaranteed thing now with T10 when it comes to DLC.

The most puzzling thing to me is that VIR is only available to people who buy the Porsche pack. That is a strange move.
It may be sold separately later, just as you can buy single cars out of the Fast and Furious Pack.

I may have to get a TX Servo Base if this Porsche Pack is everything I wanted, well I guess I'll kill some time in PCARS Cadillac ATS, been waiting for that for some years too, Nice pick SMS in the US Car Pack!:sly:

There's been many new to the franchise cars in the F6 DLC, so it's not Turn 10 on an easy money grab. NFS has the 991 RS and will likely hold onto its exclusivity, in the same way I suspect F6 didn't get the HRE Vintage wheels once they appeared in Need For Speed. There was no other reason for them to disappear when they were present in Horizon 2.

Pack is apparently live, at a whopping 1.4gb.

To be honest I did definitely get far too hyped for it because I expected more from. Not new GT3 Cup is disappointing for those wanting to run Carrera Cup series, and no new 991 GTE? I had a feeling that would've been a given since they typically like putting in new GT cars.

And then there's the 935s and 917s which I also thought would've been likely due to Forza being the first to somewhat add cars from the classes they were races in.

On Forzacentral, It seemed like Badned said that the 993 GT2 in the trailer is just a 930 with a wing on it, but he didn't go into detail so it's a bit iffy.

If that is the case, I have a little theory as to why we are missing a couple of particular models. I'm not exactly about how the whole EA/Porsche thing goes, but two models that are missing from the pack currently are the early 1970s 911 (sorry can't remember the full name exactly, it's early here!) and the 993. Both of these models are quite prominent in the latest Need For Speed, as are a couple of newer models. I wonder if there was anything that would have said that they can't use these particular models in the contract? Because I think it's odd that if the EA/Porsche partnership has ended completely, why are we missing these models?

The whole license ending deal has happened as often as the world is due to end on a certain date. Wishful thinking!

I wouldn't be surprised if EA signed that deal in perpetuity, especially as it was inked in the pre-Cayenne days when Porsche's funds were a bit limited.

Unless it was a modified 930 Turbo with the GT wing, the 993 GT2 is visible in the trailer.
Thinking about this a bit, I hope it isn't a 930 with a wing. The 993 GT2 has a wider rear bumper to accommodate the arches, so unless they force you to put on a bumper/ arch combo, we likely won't see the bold on fenders. And the 930 with just a GT2 wing would look silly, just as it did with the 964 Carrera RS 3.8 wing in previous games without the wider rear end.

Lending weight to the idea that the car people suspect is the 993 GT2 is actually just a kitted 930:

Oh. The DLC is 2.4gb, while the update is 1.4gb.

I'm guessing the track is locked to the DLC, then. No chance of players driving on it if they haven't paid, then.

I know it's not free, like they have been in the past, but if VIR is as good as I think it will be, I'm willing to pay $10 dollars for it. Talking about no VIP discount I mean.
