How do you adjust the deadzone?
It's been a while since I played Forza 4 but there should be an advanced section in the controller setup menu which allows you to do this. Like Speedster says you have to set the inside DZs to zero and the outside ones to maximum to allow maximum throw on the sticks and triggers.

Oven gloves?? :lol::lol::lol:
GT games use controller feedback to tell you what's happening with the car, shuddering under acceleration etc. Forza rumble tells you what's happening on where the tyres meet the road so you can tell when you're losing traction going around a corner. Two fundamentally different approaches so I can't say one is objectively better than the other. T10 works better for me because I like knowing when the wheels lock under heavy braking for example.

H2 looks all set to be an epic title, no doubt.

I can't help but wonder how they've done the particle effects this time around. How are the smoke/dirt trails and effects?
Smoke looks OK to me. Back over to the Billy Graham of FH2 , EKDrifter458:

That's good to know Horizon maties.

Oh I just have to say this: getting into Horizon. On the second last wrist band kicking Flynt's rear kinda hard! Got a hold of Baley's S7 too! Playing on Hard. :D

The game has it's flaws but I'm willing to overlook all of them; the game is ridiculous fun. H2 on 360 should be good stuff.

Glad I gave H1 another shot. 👍

Probably won't get playing the Demo, 10gb download and I've got crap internet my new place 4mbps if I'm lucky Lol :(

Our connection is 500kb (we live in the middle of nowhere) so I took my Xbox One into work to download it there. Well worth it. 👍

👍

How does the Huracan sound and generally feel on tarmac?
I hesitate to answer that one because I don't know how much it's been modified. The Audi, Mitsubishi and Bowler you're given to drive have all been heavily upgraded to A800 and I think the Huracan says S1/821 or something like that. But it is very tractable and easy to drive, with powerful acceleration and forgiving handling.

Hold in the clutch button, instant neutral. ;) Or am I the only person here that still races in the Forza series using the manual with clutch?

You're not the only one. :D

I actually started using manual gears when I played Forza 2 and when Forza 3 came out, I started practicing with the clutch.

A few engine, transmission repairs later, :p It became my default setting for Forza 4, Horizon and will be for Horizon 2. 👍

I tried this again and again in FM4/FH and just gave up on it entirely. No matter WHAT button combination I have, I cannot do clean shifts. The rev limiter always bounces off. Even if I shift patiently while driving, it sounds fine. When I watch replays, I can hear the limiter bouncing and gears shifting late.

Plus, that downshift rasp and bark disappears almost completely when using man w/clutch. I say just use normal manual and let go of the throttle when shifting. Not only gives the game some added realism but gives much needed relief to your sore index finger. :D

Useless on a controller. Best experienced with pedals and a wheel.

Forgive me if this has already been posted but I didn't have time to read all 59 pages of this thread, but the FFB is so much better in Horizon 2 than it is in FM5. They fixed the FFB deadzone around center that is still present in FM5. I really wish FM5 would update their FFB to the Horizon 2 FFB. Any other TX users notice this?

Ignore how it sounds in replays. There's a bug where despite perfectly clean shifts during a race, they sound like you're crunching gears and banging off the rev-limiter in replay mode. It's been that way since FM3 (maybe earlier, but I don't recall if manual with clutch was available before FM3).

Its a nice touch with the different lights used for the different generation of cars. Each beam looks different with color and how bright they are.

It's really neat the One Free DLC car policy is carrying over and each one of those cars are Day One free DLC. Free Williams, Stang and Focus RS sure satisfies me.

Idk why they are even in a dlc instead of being in the game though. Mind you if like forza 5 you get to put them in your garage for no in game credits it works out quite nice
