Idk why they are even in a dlc instead of being in the game though. Mind you if like forza 5 you get to put them in your garage for no in game credits it works out quite nice
Possibly development time considering they seem to be intent on adding cars every month, otherwise one could argue why donn't they just delay the game to add the cars from November or December as well. Has to be a cut-off point so the game can actually ship.

Yeah, it's an odd decision. Maybe it just makes them look generous lol.
That's what I thought lol
.

I had to do a double take, I thought that was a real picture.
When I first saw the photo on my xb1 I thought the same
So many free cars, remember the good old times when we started off with a crappy Chevy Spark? Yeah. :D
Whooaaa steady on there, we don't know whether or not we pay cr for them yet!

Well evo (or car?) magazine mentioned their Clio Williams being modelled ages ago, so not sure this is the case
I'll take everything in that line up except the tarted-up Tahoe on the end.
:sly:

I'm not a big fan of it, either, but I saw it as an excuse to make a Canyonero...

:ouch: Tut tut

Anyways Maybe it is down to licensing, but then there's the f100, the escalade, the GNX, the 595 and the mustang. These have all Been in forza before
What does that have to do with anything? Licensing doesn't work the same for every car....

It has everything to do with it.

If it's a licensing issue, why are those 5 cars not in at launch?

It's almost certainly microsofts way of saying "oh look 8 free cars aren't we so generous"

But anyway at least they're free....

Licensing is a possible issue for the Clio. The other 5 aren't simply ported & may need to be re-worked for the game by T10/PG, going back to what I said earlier; development time. Licensing is also very much a possible issue. You don't get a free pass from game-to-game.

It's almost certain you have agenda, then. Looks like we're done.

It can't really be anything else though. I'm not being a hateful Sony fanboy, or anything like it, I just know Microsoft do this stuff. Luckily turn 10 and playground games develop this game.

@ImaRobot because they're already in hot water for recycling dlc, realising a free launch pack with 3 new cars makes them look awesome and generous.

He listed quiet a few other things that could be the problem.

No, it surely can't be licensing or development, or anything reasonable. It's just a case of "LOL, Microsoft".

Well @McLaren mentioned re modelling these 5 cars for fh2. A very good point, but what about the 200 other re modelled cars that made it to launch in the actual game? They got all them done but not the last 5? I won't dismiss it of course, but this does seem to be Microsoft marketing

Last 5? So what about any car that happens to come in later as DLC that was part of the other games? Judging by the last two games DLC-strategy its more then likely. Either way, your just picking the worse possible reason, with no actual evidence, only making it seem like what @McLaren said, "LOL, Microsoft."

I'm not dismissing any reasons.

Just forget about it. We will never know the reasons, in fact all that's important is that we are getting these cars, and free too.

I apologise that I brought this all up

One more thing before I give the dlc handling thing up.

I'm really not dismissing the reasons for what's what, but I'm honestly not happy with how Microsoft has made you pay for cars from previous series'. Remodelled or not, you shouldn't pay for something that's the same (meaning the vehicle) again. You cannot justify. For example, the transit supervan being a dlc three times. Once is enough for any car.

So when I see a launch dlc thingy like this, you can surely forgive me for suspecting the worst. And, @ImaRobot if they do, like you said, add cars from older games and charge, I will be upset with the decision.

Will I still buy the dlc? Microsoft damn well knows I will :grumpy:

See that's the problem, we know they like to milk the cow, but we buy the stuff anyways.

I've responded to statements like this before, and so far I've never received a valid response:

"Games don't make themselves. It takes people. People like to get paid. I'm not sure if there is any simpler way to explain this."

This is irrelevant because Other games manage to not charge players a second time for content. Forza, being bankrolled by Microsoft, has the least excuse to do this of them all, and yet it's the one racer that does it. At this point it becomes an obsession for cash over simply getting by.

You have a valid response for that?

Every game has their problems and mishaps, just like GT charging for paint chips. The problem is not isolated to Microsoft, but the game industry in a whole.

You are totally correct, I'm just pointing out Forzas little Achilles heel.

Just realised that fm isn't the only racer that eats money. In fact nfs makes everything else look charitable. The terrible pile of **** has sunk so low, I don't even want to label it a "racer". :yuck:

At least fm is good.
