Forza Horizon is one of my top racing games of all time, so the same game with fresh content sounds bloody fantastic to me. Kudos to Playground Games for the dynamic weather and multiplayer features, but for several hundred dollars I can live without those things! The 360 version of this game simply extinguished any trace of interest I had in the XBone. Something I learned from my XB360 is that apart from racing games, the Xbox software library isn't for me.

I think that you should first see the Xbox 360 version, before jumping into that conclusion :p

Finally tried out the demo on XBone tonight, and I love it. This game basically combines my 3 favourite things: fast cars, beautiful French/Italian environment, and EDM music.

Looking forward to the full release a lot. Though I don't feel I will do a lot of racing, will probably spend most of my time cruising, taking photos and creating liveries.

I understand that the focus will be primarily on the One but I'm sure there are 360 owners who will be getting it, too. It would just be nice if I could find one solitary review.......

Tell me bout' it. There are plenty of X1 or generic reviews talking about both versions, but not a single one geared towards the 360 only.

Because its likely to not be anywhere near the same game as the X1 version. Gameplay will probably be fairly close but graphically nowhere near close. For one thing it is by a totally different developer, it is also running on the Forza 4 engine. I also thought they said the 360 version wont have weather. So they are avoiding showing 360 videos.

At this point I would recommend some of the members start looking into getting the X1 version. I waited a year before even considering the X1 and it has been well worth the purchase. Even Destiny was a night and day difference from the 360 to the X1. Same with Titanfall. Same will be with Horizon 2. Plus the Master Chief Collection is coming out in about 2 months and contains Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 4, and access to the Halo 5 beta. Now is the perfect time to upgrade to the X1.

Well, frankly I don't care much for the Halo games. But FM5 and H2 alone is a GOOD reason to get the X1.

I'm personally content with my 360 right now. As long as the 360 version is on par with Horizon 1, I'm good.

Same here. I actually had a change of heart recently and really started to enjoy Horizon. It is a solid open road game. I would love to own the second one too.

I now understand your sentiments! I am really having a ball with Horizon. In fact, I've barely touched FM4 since. Review or not, I'll be getting H2 soon enough.

Just saw this on youtube, no idea if its legit or not, thoughts?
Edit: found another one! Looks like this is definitely the 360 version!
First impressions: looks like the map will be very similar to the one version, with more barriers however. No tuning pre-race, maybe no tuning at all? Also 340 roads in the Xbox 360 version, only 315 in One version. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I don't often say things like this.. but.. wow that person literally cannot drive.

Any info on whether tuning is available on the 360 version as well?

Does anyone know what online is going to be like for the XBone version? Will you be able to set up sessions for your friends and club-mates exclusively, or are you forced to play in a general lobby like in TDU2?

Is there traffic in online free roam now?

Yes, you can set up private sessions for just club mates and friends and all the events are unlocked and you can choose the time of day and weather also!

I'm only skimming bits of gameplay footage to avoid spoiling much, but I peeked at the car list in the video above and there's a nice surprise -- we XB360 players appear to be getting exclusive carryovers from FM4! The first one that caught my eye was the BMW E28 M5 (26:18 @E28) and the second was the Subaru Legacy RS (26:22). Two others that aren't on this list are the Acura DC2 Integra Type R (26:22; @shawtyoner @Gerarghini) and the Lotus Esprit V8 (26:34). There may be more.

I always wanted to drive the Legacy RS in FM4, but never bought the DLC because I almost never play that game. And the E28 M5 is one of my favorite BMWs. Awesome! :D

So the question is, are these exclusive to FH2-360, planned DLC for FH2-One, or simply haven't been revealed for some reason?

I also found these cars in the 360 version!
1969 Dodge Charger Daytona Hemi 262,000 credits :-)
2002 Ferrari 575 Marenello 130,000 Credits
1990 Lotus Carlton 29,000 Credits
2011 Lotus Evora 50,000 Credits
1993 Jaguar XJ220 200,000 Credits
1992 Bugatti EB110 SS 240,000 Credits
As for the second part, I have no idea, I assume for launch they will be 360 exclusive, but they could be future DLC for the X1. Personally I'd love to see the Carlton, Legacy RS and the XJ220 in the XB1 version, but who knows!

Have to say they made a mistake not marketing the 360 version, as it still looks amazingly good, especially considering its running around on what is basically a watered down Forza 4 engine. Not to mention the map looks almost identical aside from a few areas. Plus, as @Wolfe said, this one has the bonus of being able to use Forza 4 cars as well, which (depending on who you ask) means more cult classics in there compared to the Xbone version. Pretty good, I have to say. 👍

Man what the hell, my frickin DC2 is in the 360 version only? :indiff: Well that was frustrating...

The answer is simple. They are in the 360 version because the cars have been already modelled for the platform. We are almost certainly never going to see them on the xb1 version.

@Spitty -- If it were possible, I'd trade you the DC2 for the Caterham...

That is kind of funny, because the Caterham is the only car in Fm5 that I didn't pick up yet.(and the Hummer)
Car trading would be a cool feature though.
In hindsight the different car list isn't that bad, I can buy a used 360 copy later when it gets cheaper.

The cars have been modelled for FM4, but there wasn't an Integra or Legacy rS in the first Fh, so Sumo have put effort into making the dash lights and exterior lights work.👍
I think that's really cool for the 360 only users, they don't just get a cheap port.
From what I've read, there were many concerns that the 360 version was watered down.

And all of that means, the 360 version gets the better car list.
Because more cars from FM4 that we all love
Xbox1 gets the VW T2 bus and 360 gets the BMW E28. Great! :dopey:

One thing I did find weird was that the 2000 Cobra R in the 360 version has a big Cobra decal on the windscreen; something it doesn't have in Forza 5 and presumably wouldn't be in the X1 version. Perhaps some of the 360 cars have had some remodelling done?

Or maybe it was a hacked, modded version of the game.
Unfortunately the videos got taken down before I could watch them.
Does the real Cobra R have such a decal? Can't find any pictures of it.
