It's unlikely I'll get an answer but, since some people are already trying the full game, I have a question: is there an option to turn off drivatar custom liveries, like in FM5? I'll ask again later if no one knows now. Thank you in advance.

Ign said no in their review.

Thank you sir for your quick and prompt response. Who would know that a major review site would have a similar pet-peeve to my own. No such problem on 360 though.

Speaking of the 360 version, would anyone here recommend it to me when compared to the Xbox One version?

There's a little love for the 360 version, I think. :sly: That's pretty good considering they probably didn't have to bother and no one would have cared.
Good resource, thanks for the link. 👍
...all of that means, the 360 version gets the better car list.
Because more cars from FM4 that we all love
Xbox1 gets the VW T2 bus and 360 gets the BMW E28. Great! :dopey:
The Typ 2 is a barn find, isn't it? I think these FH2-360 car list videos may be excluding those. The list in the link above implies the barn find cars are in both versions.

The Beetle is in, so I won't be heartbroken if the Typ 2 doesn't make it, but I would be sad to miss out on the Alpine A110 and Willys MB.

A radio station dedicated to Hospital Records releases? Too awesome, except for Danny Byrd.

Hey, I'm not sure how active the Horizon 1 thread is, so I'll just post this quickly here (sorry again for off topic mods):

I can't seem to get how the very final event of the game works; "Star Showdown" with Flynt. I've tried beating him with a maxed out V.Supersport.. and I'm literally leaving him in the dust at the start of the race, going over 400 kph.

Once the road narrows, and I'm past the narrower dirt stretch and heading to town, this guy just catches up at an alarming pace. And then he keeps ahead of me despite having an underpowered car.

Is he on assists? Is the AI cheating? I've not noticed this in ANY race but this one. Rubberbanding at its best?

360/one gameplay.

Great comparison vid. I can see the improvements in the X1 version, but certainly not the leap and gap I was expecting. The LoD level doesn't seem very impressive.

Oh that yellow Huracan in the X1 looks more eye-pleasing than it should! All in all, the 360 version doesn't look bad at all. Can't wait to get my hands on this. Grateful MS considered releasing it on last gen as well. :D

*Edit*

Here you go lads, X360 only gameplay:

Same game, different cars and locations. Pumped up though. Can't wait.

And another one, close to an hour's gameplay:

A couple of things.

1 regarding the texture loading bug, we don't know if these games are installed to disc or not, which would make a large difference to texture loading speeds.

2 the 360 uses a dual layer dvd for an optical drive rather than a bluray. Considering the demo for the xb one 2 as 10gb alone, it would not surprise me if sumo were struggling for space that cut scene wrapped road trips would eat up. Cutting of cut scenes would also explain the shortened intro video.

3 the rally fighter and ram runner both have large amounts of suspension travel and exposed suspension components, something the original forza horizon engine was never equipped to handle. Could explain their absence from the game, along with them being pointless due to the lack of open area to charge about in.

Trust me, on your TV the graphics are phenomenal, leaps and bounds ahead of the 360, and it is most certainly a worthy benchmark for future games.

Hd screenshots (still compressed by YouTube, but a much better representation)

The difference is night and day.

Additional note: I love how on the one the cliffs and hill sides do not look plain and generalised, it looks painstakingly designed and detailed

What I'm curious about - and I haven't seen answered anywhere - is how the 360 version ties in with both Forza Rewards and Achievements. Do the achievements carry over between both versions, or will I have two sets when I inevitably get the One version?

Its almost certainly gonna be two sets

This has just occurred to me, but I wonder how much T10 actually has to do with horizon development? I've just been figuring they go to playground games and say "right, here's a load of cars, popular bits, and the physics. Now, do your worst"

Should point out that the first showcase event in the 360 version (against a crop duster) provides you with a '69 Charger; a car that isn't purchasable in the Autoshow, much like the Bowler. Seems like the big incentive with showcase case events in the 360 version is unique, unbuyable cars, as opposed to tuned versions of ordinary cars like the first game.

Wonder why they did that?
