He already has.

Hit a bug with my XBone version. Whenever I try and buy a Renault Clio RS or VW Scirocco from the Mobil 1 pack the game displays an "installing new content" message and stays stuck on 0% until I hit OK. Reinstalled the DLC but no change. Guess I may have to reinstall the main game, hope I don't need to wipe the saved data as well like I had to with GT5.

Let it go bro. It's all business. They WANT you to get the X1 version.

Try to enjoy it if you can. You can always go back to Horizon 1.
Yeah, but the xbox one version doesn't have these cars either and I don't want to have to go back to the previous title just to drive a bunch of cars that weren't in the sequel.

I can't let something like this go, there's no excuse for forgetting this many cars that wouldn't be difficult at all to add into the game when it shares the same game engine as its predecessor.

There was only 200 in the original horizon, which itself was well below the 600 in fm4's final count.

You're both forgetting the multi-disc issue; FH1 was made to fit on one disc. Considering the increased map size, I wouldn't be surprised if all those FH1-cut cars wouldn't fit.

Not that that would stop them from releasing one mega-DLC pack for the 360 with all the missing cars (which would do absolute wonders for their community relations right now), but I digress.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the data limit on xbox 360 discs, whoops.

Forgive me if this has been asked before or already stated. What's the situation regarding the after market alloys in this Forza? Same as the ones that have been in since 2/3 or is there actually some new alloys to play with.

Loads of new HRE wheels.

As @The Stig Farmer said, there is only new HRE wheels, but there are so many that it really makes a difference. Funny thing is, is that so far I think I've only used the HRE's

There are four new MOMO wheels, too. Three of them are quite stylish. Don't like the multi-spoke fourth ones though.

Hell, I'm putting them on everything. From F10 M5s to Ferraris.

FH2 probably has the best aftermarket wheel selection of any game I've played recently, and it's almost entirely down to the new HRE's.

just how much of a penalty are the assists? i've tried racing pure skill online and by first corner other cars are good 2 seconds ahead. It must be automatic box i assume

This has been frustrating me for a while. In past Forzamotorsport games I have always ran with no assists and manual/clutch because 1- the cars felt more responsive and 2- your car would be faster than with the assists turned on. I have found this is not the case with FH2. I was trying to beat a rival a couple nights ago and having all assits turned off I couldn't even get close. BUT with the same car I went back and turned Traction Control and Stability on and all of a sudden Im a good 4 sec faster. We were racing on asphalt, no dirt or loose gravel. So the "Sim racer" in me is rather upset...I need to take the game for what it is...just a fun car game that anybody can dive into and enjoy without to much tuning and tweeking....

I think I'm at level 282 now and I'm nearly done with the sponsorship challenges. I recently bought a Zonda Cinque, Koenigsegga Agera, Nobile M600, and Maserati MC12.

You like them hypercars, don't ya? That's cool, but it's just not my thing. In fact, I've been avoiding the Hypercar/Supercar challenges on the road trips. So yesterday I decided to just get them out of the way. I road-tripped all day long (except for when the Seahawks were on) and raced nothing but Hypercar (McLaren P1), Supercar (Lamborghini Huracan) and Retro Supercar (Ferrari GTO) races just to get them out of the way. I'm working my way through the list until the only thing left are the hot hatch races. I'm saving them for my "all challenges complete" treat.

Umm....H1 had way more visual character than this. This isn't on man! :grumpy:
Fh1 had a smaller map. It would be very difficult for fh2 on 360 to look better than this.
It all comes back to a console upgrade. I know you said you have no intentions to upgrade, but the fact you are so unimpressed with how old gen is holding up compared to current sort of shows that you do.

He'll actually just talk about it endlessly, but never choose anything.
