Forza Horizon 3 - Show off your paints!

livery.png

I'm quite happy with this one, even though it's a recreation of a simple livery. Though there is an annoying with with the doors where you can't paint on the edges properly.

And secondly, did anyone here play TOCA Race Driver 3?

I can't share it because Teng Tools, Dunlop, Stack and Ferodo were all downloaded designs. And it's not even entire, but hey. It's close enough... Also, good job on the shadows, Forza. It's been doing that quite a lot since the update.

Car: 2008 Lancer Evolution X GSR
Livery: #84 Radiator

A reinterpretation of my first "serious" bit of design work - dating all the way back to the days of FM4! The livery's inspired by Radiator's shark deterrent wetsuits, especially the mid-depth dive suit design. Also available is an A700 tune designed for maximum performance on Scramble events; and a Bucket List event in the fully-built car, which can be accessed from the Silver Sands Roundabout point and will have you racing on tarmac, gravel and sand.

So here I am with my own creation to contribute; this is going to be the first of (probably) many. This livery was inspired by one of FailRace's recent videos, "Forza Horizon 3 Outtakes Hypercar Rally Shootout." There were a couple of instances where cars left the track, got stuck and had to be rescued by the silver Evo. Seeing this, I thought, "Everybody makes racing liveries, but nobody ever does anything for the men and women behind the scenes who make sure everything runs smoothly and safely. Why don't I make something like that?" So, this is what I came up with: the 2017 Ford SVT F-150 Raptor Horizon Rescue Safari Edition! I've even written a little bit of lore for it if you're interested in how I envision the Rescue Raptor (as it's commonly known) to be used; click the spoiler to read more. Also, if you want a fully pre-built Rescue Raptor, PM me and I'll put one up on the Auction House so you can buy it. There's even a Blueprint if you want to try before you buy; add me on XBL (GyroxOpex) and it'll show up at the Waterfall Bridge Blueprint start point. The name is "Rescue Raptor to the Rescue."

The Forza Horizon Rescue Safari is one of the most renowned safety teams in all of motorsports; its sheer size allows it to be present at multiple racing events a day, sometimes at multiple races at the same time. Their weapon of choice? The 2017 Ford SVT F-150 Raptor Horizon Rescue Safari Edition.

Custom-tuned by Ford’s Special Vehicle Team, the Raptor Safari Edition (also known colloquially as the ‘Rescue Raptor’) packs 918 horsepower in its 5.7-liter twin-turbo V8, pumping those ponies to all four wheels by way of a custom Hewland gearbox specially made for the many rigorous situations the Raptor Safari Edition finds itself in daily. For tires, the Raptor Safari Edition is shod in 345/65R17 BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires, providing traction on any surface from pavement to riverbeds.

On the front of the truck is a Warn 16.5ti winch system, rated for up to 16,500 pounds of force – usually more than enough to free stuck cars on rally stages. In the back, we find a mount for a spare tire (all entrants are required to provide at least one spare tire in case their car has a flat and cannot continue without a new spare) and an extra gas tank that carries fuel for cars that run out of gas. As far as what’s in the cabin, each Rescue Safari truck comes equipped with jumper cables, a basic toolkit for on-the-spot repairs, and most importantly, an emergency first aid kit to aid injured drivers while waiting for ambulances to arrive.

Speaking of, the Rescue Safari’s practices are known to be amongst the most effective in racing, saving the lives of numerous drivers during every Horizon Festival. To start off with, a number of Rescue Safari vehicles are placed evenly around the course, hidden in the scenery. The bare minimum is four trucks on the shortest of courses, with the numbers scaling depending on course length; the longest route has 40 Rescue Safari vehicles and numerous ambulances. In the event of a car getting stuck or having something happen to it, the driver radios the Forza Motorsport Association for help; the nearest Rescue Safari truck is deployed to help with the situation. In instances where more assistance is required (such as the rare instance where a car is so stuck that one Rescue Raptor can’t free it), the Rescue Safari team that initially responded to the request for assistance can radio for backup from other nearby Safari teams. In the event of a serious accident, the Rescue Safari team can radio for an ambulance and/or a MEDEVAC helicopter to head over to the accident scene while the Rescue Safari team(s) on the scene attempt to stabilize those injured with their on-board first aid kit(s). Meanwhile, an entourage of four Rescue Safari trucks escort the ambulance to the scene to prevent it from potentially getting stuck on the way.

In conclusion, it's easy to see why the Forza Horizon Rescue Safari is so renowned. Not only do they have some of the best practices in the business, but their signature fleet of 2017 Ford SVT F-150 Raptor Rescue Safari Editions are amongst the most potent rescue vehicles in the world. Put the two together, and you have a recipe for success… and safety.

Without further ado, here are some pics!

This scheme here that's applied to the RS2 was inspired by the old Audi Sport liveries from the 80s. Sadly, the decals are all from the storefront which locks the design, but I have shared a variant with just the paint and stripes. If you look up either "Audi Sport Ed." or my GT CamaroRSZ28 you should find it, hopefully.

Nice colour scheme, and the outlines on the logos are a nice touch. I know they can take a while too ;)

Another week another Featured Item on the Storefront.

This one's got 20,000 downloads in Forza Motorsport 6 so hopefully it'll get a few more now that it's a contest winner in Horizon 3 as well :)

Livery: Gibson 6666

Finally I, too, have jumped on this Rocket Bandwagon.
Whoever guesses on which sorta-iconic Australian design this livery is based, wins a cookie. I originally intended for it to be a quick job, but I ended up re-creating many logos that may be useful down the line, so even if I spent more than I wanted to on it, I'm still satisfied.

Might as well add my S14 here. Like the RX7 I posted earlier, I himmed and hawed over the color scheme, until I finally settled on one I liked. This time however it's more similar to ARTA liveries used in the JGTC, even though I'm pretty sure Nissan never teamed up with Autobacs.

Blue is wrapped white is body color, used adv.1s for the set in the picture since they have the same spokes.

Because Sega scud race was one of my most favourite games. I know the actual car doesn't use chrome but i thought it was more fun.

Just nice to go with this song

Not a good shot, but I tried to recreate the BMW Vision's livery on my newly obtained M3 with the Rocket Bunny kit. I didn't make the GT logo, I got it from the storefront.

Also, how do you adjust altitude on the PC?
